Recovering Hope

Stress, concerns, brokenness, and many other difficult circumstances can put people in a whirlwind of feelings and behaviors. What happens when we choose to recover the hope that once lived inside of us? What would happen if you let go of any pain that may be holding you back from being prosperous, joyful, and successful?

How we hold onto the things that drive our hope can determine the direction that we go in with all of our efforts. Think about how much time and energy is drained when we live in a moment of high concern. So much can be taken away when the joy inside of us when we don’t take good care of ourselves and limit that which stresses us most.

Recovering hope is much like mud in a field after heavy rain; once the sun comes out again, the ground dries, and yet there is still growth. The only things that linger are those that we allow. If you wish to be successful you cannot allow things to hold weight if they are not for your good. Take some time to rationalize, communicate, and address any internal feelings that are inside of you, honor your truth, then recover your hope. Only you can regulate hope and faith in your life.

Travel through a moment in time and think about a day when hope was so much more than a glimmer in your eye. Hope at some point or another becomes joy, truth, ambition, faith, love, and so much more. Think about how a moment like that felt for you and how much it impacted your life. Recall that feeling when it feels like hope is lost, because it can carry you through your difficulties.

There have been a few times in my life when the days seemed so dark, the night dreadfully long, and my hope all but lost. I had to allow myself to live in and through that. Only in the time that I chose to keep searching for the light could I recover the hope that has always lived inside of me.

No challenge is small, but you have power over them all. If you can manage to keep your eyes focused on what you want for your life, you can always recover your hope.

There is so much good in the world and so many opportunities to be great for yourself and others. Never give up and know that you are not alone in your aim to lead in your life and be a light in the world.

If you are ready to level up, visit DRKAYLANALLEN.COM today and prepare to change your life in ways that you have worked so hard for.

Be blessed and be at peace.

I – Inspired to Aspire

©KayLaN.Allen

Having a dream, goal, vision, or set of objectives is the beginning of something that could be great. When you activate the depth of what you want, there is a chance for magnificent success to come about. Being inspired to migrate toward a wanted goal starts with you, faith, and personal transformation – this combination is the source of follow-through in your aspirations.

If we want to be inspired to aspire to be happy, proud, prosperous, successful, or empowering, there is a need for personal inspiration. Inspiration can be connected to things that are of high value to you (family, personal goals, a vision, wants, needs, and many other things). Inspiration is connected to the ability to find a willingness to make clear adjustments to reach what you aim for (your aspirations).

How do you find, label, and make reality your aspirations? Only you can take an idea and make it a fruitful business, opportunity, or journey.

Inspiration can be found within yourself when all other things or sources of inspiration/information seem like they are failing you. If we give power to people or things, we will be met with confusion, doubts, and a mixture of internal emotions.

I can recall several times when I was simply dreaming of the things that I wanted and yet I couldn’t find inspiration to get things rolling or to sustain my efforts. After countless efforts, relying on the validation of others, and finding myself feeling like my dreams were empty, I realized that I had to look inside myself. Only when we can source the answers to what we need by finding internal tools to succeed, can we open a world of opportunities.

Putting in the work after finding personal inspiration is often where people’s dreams and aspirations fall apart. Consistently put in the work to be your own inspiration and lead your days and nights as though they are the lights guiding you toward your aspirations.

Bible & Spiritual Connection
1 Corinthians 16:13 & 1 Corinthians 12:31
When we can stand firm in our faith and stay focused, inspiration can be innate. All that you are capable of is connected to faith, hope, inspiration, and what you do to make your dreams come to life. Your desires will be your reality if you want them to be. Greatness is yours if you aim for excellence with goodness living in your heart. Aspirations from your heart will bring to life your ability to be inspired. Don’t lose sight of where your hope and faith is rooted.

Be blessed and be at peace.

R – Resurrection of Dreams

©KayLaN.Allen

For so many of us, as children, we had huge dreams (some a bit unreal). Do you know how much imagination and courage a child/teen has to say that they want to do something that is profound or “beyond them”? With adults, exceedingly often we shut down big dreams, bury them in our minds and chalk up our doubts to fear, lack, and lack of time.

What would happen if the dreamer inside of you was resurrected?

You don’t have to stop dead in your tracks and lead a limited life. The load may get heavy, but in time your effort will precede your many successes. In my life, I often feel drained and like I’m running an endless marathon, and yet I still keep the faith in knowing that the race will soon be won.

Resurrect your dreams and bring them back from the dead. Keep dreaming, planning, building, and striving because soon enough your dreams will become distant memories and your reality will supersede your wildest of dreams.

Bible & Spiritual Connection
Philippians 1:6 & Proverbs 16:9
Doing good work and making your mission about serving God and others (not just yourself and your bank account) will bring successes and greatness to you that you could not develop alone. Isn’t it wonderful that we can set a course for our lives and have perfect support, guidance, and love wrapped around us even when we feel like the cards are stacked against us?  A resurrection of dreams is possible for those who want it most and are willing to believe in what could be wonderful.

Be blessed and be at peace.

Putting Yourself First

©KayLaN.Allen

Doubt– When little voices creep in asking us if we are doing the right thing we decide if we listen or challenge them. Doubt can make us question absolutely everything that we do and break us down if we give in to any negative aspect that comes in. Putting ourselves first means that we have to be able to not only understand the doubts that arise but also be able to overcome them so that we can reach our highest potential.

Fear– the fear of what if…the fear of judgment…the fear of not reaching goals…
All of these are real (ask me how I know). I have dealt with fears in many aspects of life. It can be difficult to have a stronghold over fears, but it can be done. Strength in vision, self, faith, and direction are all necessary in trying to overcome embedded fears.

Worth– You’re value is not determined by the world. It is established by God and to be understood and upheld by you. When someone challenges that, it hurts, right? It can even make you feel like maybe you aren’t worth what you said you are worth. We cannot allow others’ opinions, blocked/biased views, or internal problems to shift our worth.

Am I Enough?
Yes, you are. You may not be perfect and you may not have become all that you are called to be in your life YET, but you are enough. We all have space to grow and evolve. No one came into this world having all the answers, thank goodness! You can use what you have inside to make the most of your present; you just have to look beyond the surface and take inventory. Let nothing cause you to change what you think of yourself. How you view yourself and carry yourself is how others will treat you, so be careful.

Why can’t we channel our success but we can be extreme givers for anyone else?
First…Not okay. You need to understand why you are doing what you are doing…so, here we go…

Write it all down!

Ask yourself what would happen if you put yourself first.
Look internally and decide if what you are doing for others is proof that you can do even greater things in your own life.

Why can’t we be busy with our own growth?
You can be. You first must choose to do so. It is hard to put myself first in many instances, but I realize that if I don’t I am only hindering my growth. We can find hundreds of other things to be doing besides evolving ourselves. Sure that may be okay in the temporary, but we will hurt ourselves and be depriving ourselves in the long run.

Without putting yourself first and making sure that you are healthy, safe, and positively evolving, those around you will in some way suffer.

You are wonderfully made and a gift to this world.

Discover and love yourself. Don’t let the world try to break God’s mold (you).

If you can dream it you can have it. Don’t cheat yourself.

You are destined for greatness, and there is nothing nor any outside person that can do something to make God’s promises on your life not come into fruition in the physical realm.

She knows very well that eating alone is a part of her journey. Even when she is into her success, that table should still not be filled as she knows that evil and negativity will still be lurking. Her independence and strength are internal to all that she is. She is courage. She is greatness. She is on her way to her destiny.
She is you.
She is me.

Be blessed and be at peace.

I- Intrinsic Motivation

©KayLaN.Allen

When you think about motivation, if you are anything like me, you think of that “go-getter” attitude with a little added pep in your step right? That vision on how motivation “should be” may be true in many situations, but it won’t be all that you need to step into the next phase of whatever you are working on. The motivation of this sort may be linked to many things, but it is not bound to the daily realities of life.

Something that you may or may not be familiar with is intrinsic motivation. For many people, there are reasons that they connect to their motivation and they are outcome-driven; while this could be beneficial, taking an internal route may be more beneficial in the long-run.  Things like better pay, a leaner body, and accolades from completing a task can be linked to motivation, but once you have achieved them what do you have left?

I find motivation in defining my steps and given a reason to why I set goals and aim for greatness in all that I do.  When this happens the mission is bigger than myself and the outcomes will be more than favorable because I took my ego, pride, and fleeting situations out of the scenario.

When we can grant ourselves the meaning and reasoning for an outcome and greater purpose, motivation can become something that we own. Motivation can be a part of a lifestyle when we understand that any mission or goal that is worth having is worth fighting for. Intrinsic motivation lives in you, not through an external mission, outside noise, or outcomes that will be achieved in one place in time then be gone.

Motivation is not just words; it is the value that you place on your purpose and the greatness that lives inside of your mind, so look deeper to find it.

Bible & Spiritual Connection

James 1:2-4 & 1 Corinthians 15:58

This journey toward your destiny is one of the greatest battles that you will ever face. The fight was going to come at some time or another, but we all must realize that the process is what matters most. If you allow “noise” to cloud your mind, your outcomes will be limited. God has a promise on your life if you are willing to take His hand and let Him lead the way. Allow perseverance and purpose to make a home inside of your heart, mind, and soul, and know that goodness in you will be gifted with further goodness within you and as a gift to others.

Be blessed and be at peace.

H – Human Condition

©KayLaN.Allen

The human condition brings together everything that makes a person who they are. Things such as culture, health, desires, beliefs, education, and much more help to define the human condition. One of the most important things to value within yourself is the quality of your life.

Circumstances can define a person’s reality, but there is an alternative side to that as well.

When you go beyond the perception of your reality, you can learn to define the current space that you are in. Perhaps this means that you are 100% happy with the depth of your life as it is. It can also mean that you are becoming aware of areas in your life that are needing to be changed.

I may not be where I want to be, but I am aware of the spaces that help to define my “human condition”.

Since I know where I am and where I want to be, I know what it may take to reach my destiny.

Don’t let life pass you by and don’t be fooled into thinking that you cannot have any better than what you have now. You may not be perfect and you don’t have to be, just be aware, emotionally intelligent and in-tune of what may possibly be.

The human condition is a composition of who you are, but several of those components can change throughout your lifetime. As it is with most things, what you put in and what you are willing to positively evolve is equal to what you will get in return.

Bible Reading & Spiritual Connection

Proverbs 28:25 & Galatians 6:7

You have the chance to make the most out of your life, each day that you are graced and blessed to have breath in your lungs and the sun shining in your face. If you are not taking the time to sow seeds into your field, you cannot expect a harvest. In all that we do, we cannot work in evil ways, greed, or internal “ugliness”. When we are gifts and lights to the world, that which we are faced with grows into something much more valuable and worth residing in. You have the exact key that you need for the door of your destiny, so enjoy the journey toward claiming your victory.

Be blessed and be at peace.

F – Failure Is Semi-Real

©KayLaN.Allen

The act of failing is something that I would like to call a pit stop. Although you may not have made it to the destination once hoped for, you now have a moment to reflect, make changes, and get back out on the road.

“Failure is a pit stop before reaching some of your goals; pause, reflect, make changes and get back on the road.”

Real “Failure”
Failure can only become real, debilitating, or discouraging when you allow it to be a valid strain in your life. I understand that there are situations where failure could come about such as in a grading system, but even then it is not the end of the world unless you keep doing the same things and are not willing to evolve.  People “fail” when they do not understand why/how something has happened and they get stuck in that moment of sorrow or regret.

Overcoming the Shadow of “Failure”
Of course, people do make mistakes, but the only way to challenge and
overcome those mistakes is to let go of what did not work and make room
for success. Looking for the quick and easy route to doing things will
not serve you well. We must all accept that many plans of ours will not
go in our favor.

You Will Survive & Thrive
I have had to overcome much to reach my goals, but even when my days grew dark I still found the courage to keep believing that better days were coming if only I would keep trying.

If you believe in yourself, no amount of perceived/semi-real failure can stop you from being successful. Your job when “failure” comes about is to turn it into a lesson and grow from it. When watered a mental lesson become a mental garden.

Remember, every outcome is not your final destination.

Spiritual Check-In
Joshua 1:9 & James 2:24
Courage can be found and owned when you realize and keep in mind that you are not alone. God is always with you; even when you may think He has let you down. Do what you can for yourself and be prayerful knowing that faith and works go hand in hand. If you see yourself winning, failing, succeeding, or anything in between know that you have so much to be thankful for. Evil beings want and would thrive off of us living in “failure” or disappointment. Hold strong and know that through love, patience, hard work, and the willingness to become more like God and aim to serve others with what He has uniquely blessed you with will change your life at every level; in that you will undoubtedly know that failure cannot be allowed to be real.

Be blessed and be at peace.

Y-You’re Not Always Your Problem

©KayLaN.Allen

We can count on all of our fingers and toes the concerns that we face on any given day.

We sometimes even find that our problems are bigger than us. This isn’t to say that sometimes you aren’t what is blocking your path, though.

Think about how many obstacles get in the way daily. Are they are always easy to solve? Surely not.

Are you always the reason for your problems? No.

In the grand scheme of things, although we may not be the main source of our problems, we do play a role in them.

You see, doubt, fears, disappointment, anger, frustration, and everything in between get housed internally even if they originate from an outside source.

Take your time to learn that and don’t brush it off; that lesson will change your mood, day, and life.

It may take several adjustments within yourself, but don’t let your problems outweigh your potential.

What if the very thing that we perceive to be a problem is actually a fear that has been overgrown by weeds that we’ve allowed to grow?

You have to work to understand what situations mean. It does not always make sense to go with your gut; sometimes meditating, talking about it, or praying for clarity is a better solution. Sometimes your heart/gut can lead you in the wrong direction, so you need to understand your contribution of the unselfish truth of the matter.

You’re not always your problem, sometimes it’s other’s negativity, fears, doubts, lack of understanding, or some type of internal brokenness. If we don’t understand this, we can easily get hurt by something that should not have had a negative impact, to begin with.

John 16:33
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  You may sometimes think that you have all of the answers, but you may also be holding the weight of many concerns. Take courage and know that you are not living this life to be in sorrow or disappointment. Our heavenly father bore it all and he will give us perfect peace when we need it most if we seek him first, have faith, and do His will.

Proverbs 12:10
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” Anxiety is real and can be difficult to manage, but we can do something about it. Learning, love, having healthy conversations, and spiritual guidance can shift things in ways you couldn’t imagine.

There are things that are greater/bigger than us that could be holding us back from greatness. Let nothing or no one stop you from reaching your destiny.

R – Relieve Your Pain

©KayLaN.Allen

Let’s chat about the hard days and moments.

Fill in your own answers…

How many times have you cried yourself to sleep?

How many friends have you lost?
How many losses have you experienced/lived through?
How many times have you convinced yourself that you were unhappy?
How many times have you stayed in a broken relationship?
How many times have you forgiven others?
How many times have you beaten yourself down?

The questions could go on and on, but the real question that you should ask yourself is “what did you learn”.

You must be willing to give yourself permission to relieve your pain.

Without permission to heal, how can you move forward?

Are you walking around with your perceived “brokenness” on your sleeves?

You should be a walking story, but not one housing the pain of your past.

People are not always what they seem and books’ finest and most beautiful details are not found on their covers.

Re-create your life, fill your heart with what you love, make yourself truly happy, feed your soul, reinvent your everything and show yourself true relief and healing.

John 16:33

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Although you may have faced pain you must remember that you do not have hold strong to it. He bore it all!

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” His promises are grand! His vision for your life is perfect! No matter what you faced, the best is yet to come if you believe, hold strong to your faith, and put in the work.

Give yourself hope and freedom, relieve your pain.

If your pain is in your past, shouldn’t your power and freedom be in your present and future? Live it up!

Be blessed and be at peace.

L-Lament, Don’t Forever Linger

©KayLaN.Allen

Lamenting can happen and be a part of many times in life, working to process any form of sorrow is the only way to see brighter days. I want you to understand and know that no matter how you feel when something truly tears at your heart that it is okay to express those emotions. You must allow yourself to cry, scream, and let it go at your own pace; no one can force you and no one can tell you that you are not allowed to experience emotions or feelings of lament.

Relationships
Whether we are speaking about a loss or a relationship (friend or family) that you must break away from, memories last a lifetime and no one can tell you how or when to heal. There is such beauty in connecting and bonding with someone that truly cares about you. Breaking away is never easy. I will pray for you and encourage you to do whatever you can to find your peace.

In grieving a deep loss, you know what you need to heal; you know if or when you want to talk, if or when you want to get out of the bed, with who or where you want to go. You will never just get over it, I know this from experience; don’t ever let anyone tell you that you have to move on. I know that your heart feels like it has literally left your body, and I am so sorry that you are hurting. I promise you that “better” and “easier” days are coming.

Inner Brokenness
No matter the source of what may have brought you to the space of brokenness that you may be in, a challenge is always finding the light or any space of positivity; it is okay to go through this patch of time. You are human and I get it; I have felt how are feeling before.

How it Feels to be Stuck

Feeling stuck in your sorrow, pain, hurts, and disappointment is stifling. It can make you feel empty, lonely, and hopeless. Cemented takes on a whole new meaning when your mind gives you the feeling of being stuck in a situation, place, or frame of thinking.

When to Move On and/or Move Forward
Your timing is your choice, however when something inside of you speaks and says that you need to move forward maybe you should listen. This does not mean that you erase everything, color your hair and change your name; it does not have to be that drastic. It can mean that you make one small change or one new effort to reclaim your happiness. You have to listen to your heart, mind, and soul.

Letting Go Is Freeing
“Letting Go” of your pain, as you see fit and in the way that you deserve can give you a freedom unlike any other. It is like taking the chains off that have been binding you. You will slowly but surely start to feel lighter; the weight of pain or sadness can be unbearable.

Lament is real and all of us experience it at some point in life, the challenge is always climbing out the rubble. I want you to own your emotions, allow yourself to feel whatever it is that you feel, but do what you can to not clutch onto that pain forever. Push through the pain when you can but promise yourself and show yourself that you deserve happiness and peace that you can only find within yourself.

Pray without ceasing; when you are experiencing lament, it is a time to cling to what you know best and that is the love of the Lord, your connection to whatever higher power, or your belief in the will of the Universe. God is always present and even when no one else can understand at the deepest level of your pain, He can and does; so ask Him to help you through it and to help guide you on the path to a new normal and a new realm of happiness.

Think of how many cried out in lament to God in the Bible…
Psalms 130:1-2
“Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; Lord hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy.” Cry out to God. Pray out loud. Go into your prayer closet, no one can judge you on that. I promise that God will hear you and respond according to His will (in His way and time, not yours).

Jeremiah 15:18
“Why is my pain unending and my wound grievous and incurable? You are to me like a deceptive brook, like a spring that fails.” Many people have gone through a time of brokenness or loss of faith…some have even grown angry with God, but even those in Bible times quickly learned the reasons why God does what He does. They learned God teaches lessons, shapes paths, delivers, provides and protects – he will, has always, and is (right now) doing the same for you.

Even Jesus questioned God’s will and actions in the use of the words previously spoken by David (Psalms 22):
“My God, my God why have you forsaken me?” You are not the only one who wants to understand/be understood, wants guidance, and needs clarity – do not be ashamed to ask. He is your Father and he loves you.

You have been given three of examples of people that cried out to God, sought and answer, bore agony, saw loss, faced death and wars and felt immense pain. What you need to remember in your lament is that your pain will not last forever…you hold the key to your peace and happiness and God always saves.

Jeremiah 15:21
“I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”

You see! God promises and shows that he cares and understands over and over again. If He has saved and cared for so many before, don’t you know that He is going to do the same for you?!

Your challenge is to pray, have faith, and try your best to find inner happiness; I don’t care what that looks like whether it is taking up piano, violin, or guitar lessons, joining a cycling class, or enjoying small moments of peace by painting via color by number…if it brings you true happiness and is healthy to your mind, body, and soul, please do it.

You are allowed to feel pain, you are allowed to take your time to understand what has happened or is happening, just don’t make or allow that pain (to) alter all that you are. You still deserve to have moments of happiness and to experience pure joy, right? So do what it takes to make that happen, when you are ready. Lament, pray, and do a happiness reach forward; don’t sit in alone forever my dear. Better days are truly coming, I promise.

Truly seek positivity and light, you won’t regret it.
