W – Wisdom Intact

©KayLaN.Allen

Think About It
With every step that we take in life, there is a lesson to be learned. Each person that we encounter in life has been set forth to provide us with something to be learned and applied to our lives. Every conversation that we have affects our mental space and how we evolve as people and leaders.

How can we fully walk into our greatness and future prosperity if wisdom is not intact?

*Where Does Come From & How Can We Keep It?

  • Wisdom begins as a message
  • We take in the nuggets of information as seeds to plant in our mental gardens
  • We learn and grow by watering and nurturing those seeds
  • We evolve, transform and blossom because of each loving step in taking care of those seeds (messages)
  • Keep this wisdom by teaching others, sharing knowledge, growing into your destiny and purpose, and by gifting the world with your generated businesses and careers that come from that wisdom. When you learn you grow. Taking the time to understand the impact of that growth is so important because it opens opportunities for changes in your lifestyle and that of your family.

Reflection
When we can create a library of wisdom in our minds from planted seeds, we can reach and teach the world with what we learn, grow, and embody.

Wisdom intact is the way to create your future. Do not limit your learning. I love to learn, hence why I am committed to learning for life and I will soon be Dr. KayLa. Everything we learn contributes to the future of what we do in our careers and family lives.

Bible & Spiritual Connection
*James 3:17 & Proverbs 19:20*
Wisdom is a gift to anyone who is willing to fruitfully receive it. When wisdom and knowledge are granted to you, it is up to you to make the most of it. God grants us exactly what we need when we need it; that is a gift within itself. Do whatever you can to not make excuses about why you are unable to receive a mental gift that is made for you as it will contribute to your successes and coming prosperity.

Be blessed and be at peace.

U – Unified Self

©KayLaN.Allen

Wisdom
Any aim for your life requires full commitment from you.  Taking steps and evolving will also mean that you bring together what you need from the inside-out. Let’s look at the work unified – means to bring things together in a uniform manner.

Experience
I remember when I thought that a degree would change everything, but that’s not enough. Mental growth is only a part of the journey that we all must embark upon in our personal transformation.

Tools
To be your unified self you must:
Understand your personal gaps (in health, mentality, and emotional stability)
Challenge yourself to break barriers and typical norms
Care for yourself (mind, body, and spirit) every day, while remembering that it isn’t selfish to do so
Keep learning (and this doesn’t have to mean years and years in school)
Empower yourself and find the tools to do that effectively
Make time for evaluation of your growth, so that you can develop a plan to continue to evolve
Eat in a way that is conducive (in alignment) with the life that you want
Meditate, pray, and reflect (you’re not in this alone, I promise)
Control your inner and outer environment
Eliminate negativity
Let go of your past
AND WHATEVER ELSE IS NECESSARY TO BE WHOLE WITHIN YOURSELF

Reflect
We have all learned and grown from many facets of life, but that doesn’t mean that we have to let those things bind us. The unified self flourishes because it is when we care enough and are aware enough to figure out what may be holding us back in any way. Only when we can move into a place of inner curiosity can we create realities from possibilities with our unified selves.

A plan for greatness is just a plan until we can grant ourselves permission to become whole and able to conquer what life will bring forth.

Bible & Spiritual Connection
Galatians 5:22-23 &  Psalms 16:7
Bringing together your unified self will shine a lot on all that you are capable of doing.  The goodness and beauty of a mission that isn’t self-serving are powerful, wonderful, and blessed. You have warmth, love, and a consistent realm of consist that are always around and within you. When the little voice in your head suggests a shift or brings love to your heart pay attention to what that means and make the most of it through your unified self.

Be blessed and be at peace.

The Endless Pandemic of the Evil Plague

©KayLaN.Allen

The Endless Pandemic of the Evil Plague
Hearts cry and break from the pain of the ended lives and partial blame

While leaders find that their behavior is not to be shamed.

Mothers live in fear simply because their baby boys have brown skin

While black and brown men house anger, disappointment, and fear from within.

The KKK comes out during the day and posts ads in the paper by night

Real changes are nowhere in sight.

Years of hate taught to children and the masses,

Yet no one can teach evil-doers, hate-free classes.

Murders and ill-will run rampant and justice turn a cheek

All while families lose their loved ones every week.

Sister, I hear your cries and I feel your pain,

No good life should be ended – slain.

Lift your voices and march in the streets,

Tread with power, truth, and history wrapped around your feet.

We will not be silenced today or tomorrow

We will not live our lives in never-ending sorrow.

Let us find the cure and give the vaccine for free.

Let us flatten this curve forever and let all people just be.

A word, hug, prayer, or termination of a job will not be enough,

From all this, our worries will thrive, and our skin will only grow tough.

We need a resolution and we need it to last;

The end of hate and brutality is something we need to happen fast.

Abrupt actions and ego will not impart

The greatness that is needed (it starts in the heart).

Democrat, Republican, Undeclared, Left, or Right,

None of these matters if compassion for ALL people is not the real fight.

Hear me now, loud, and clear,

I WILL NOT LIVE MY LIFE IN FEAR!

We can stop this pandemic and end foolish pride

When we can finally put all our differences aside.

P – Pedal to the Metal

©KayLaN.Allen

One hope…
A dream…
A wish…
A goal…

All of these things can come into the physical realm if you do more than imagine them. Plenty of people dream of the way that things could be if only something were different. What if I told you that at this moment, everything is different? Never have you experienced the exact thoughts that you are navigating through right now. For some, never have you wondered what would happen if you took your dream and put the pedal to the metal.

Taking baby steps to arrive at a wanted destination may be required and that is perfectly fine. If I look at my journey through school or even in growing my brand, some baby steps have been necessary for me to learn what I needed to learn at a given moment in time. Sometimes it’s necessary to take a leap of faith and put your pedal to the metal. Will you take the key and drive to your destiny?

What if you do take a leap and then you trip, stumble or fall? That’s the big question, right? Well, what if you don’t take the leap and miss a chance to see your dream come to life? Think about that!

We all have an amazing chance to go from being a dreamer and believer to an achiever! Will you arrive at a full stop and sit in your thoughts or put the pedal to the medal and run to the finish line?

Bible & Spiritual Connection
Hebrews 11:1 & James 2:14-17
A chance is merely a chance without faith. Faith without works is dead. Faith with applied action leads to greater outcomes. Do more than talk about your dreams; apply them, share your greatness with the world, and believe in your mission.
Know that nothing will fall into your lap and prayer will not be enough to make wildest dreams come true. Faith can be found in what you cannot see, so taking that leap of faith can be difficult. If we can recall that all things are possible and God is our provider, we have no reason to be afraid of following the purpose and journey that God sets before us.

Be blessed and be at peace.

M – Master Your Craft

©KayLaN.Allen

What makes you unique?
What “craft” do you do that is unique to you?
What things do you do to feed your soul and bless others?

Only You
There is something that you do naturally that sets you apart from others. For some, this may seem impossible given that there are billions of people in the world and so many people that may have similar educational or career experiences.  However, the truth that we can all see in many things, is that there are amazing things that people do that no one else could ever repeat.

The Journey Impacts Your Purpose
It took me a long time to realize the value of my uniqueness, experiences, life journey, education, and all that I have learned in my life. However, all of what makes me unique has shaped my brand and my writings. The same is true for you! Think about what you do for others because of what has been uniquely a part of your life (good and bad).

Continue Learning
Once you become aware of your uniqueness and you get moving with sharing your greatness with the world, you must continue to evolve to master your craft. There will also be a need to level-up once you reach your goals; this need is not to prove something, rather it is to best serve others and represent the vision and mission of your brand as best as possible at all times.

Master your craft and know that what you uniquely do is exactly what your audience needs.

Water your mental garden, master your craft and watch how things begin to blossom.

Bible & Spiritual Connection:
1 Timothy 4:14 & Romans 11:29
To not continue to evolve after you have reached new heights in using your craft would be quite a waste. You have been blessed, so why not continue to improve yourself and maximize the impact that only you can create? No matter how hard you may try to hide or pretend that your gifts do not exist or are not important, they will not go away. Open your eyes and know that you are special beyond words and you have great potential to be a blessing and gift to others in countless ways.

There is nothing and no one who can stop me from continuing to evolve.

Check out my newest logo! J- Joyful Stride

©KayLaN.Allen

As we go through life, we each have experiences that contribute to our emotions and feelings. It can be rather easy for good things to make us feel happy and difficulties to brings us a spirit and feeling of worry or stress. Even though these things are true, we all have moments when we continue to push through when we aim to just keep going, pushing, and living for another moment in time and a graced opportunity to endure another day.

When you walk here and there, remember why each step is holding value for you. Consider each moment in time as another step taken.  I know that when I am approaching any step, it feels so big to me and sometimes that makes it scary; even then, I know that I must take a few deep breaths and focus on the purpose.

Each step in one’s journey must be taken in stride. If you find yourself in a space in time when things are difficult and you lose a sense of direction and/or can’t find your purpose, find a joyful stride. Only you can hold onto and continue to pay attention to the joy that lives inside of you.

The walk through life can be unpredictable, but it can also be so beautiful. Take a moment to reflect on your past and you will find many reasons to walk with a joyful stride.

Bible & Spiritual Connection
Habakkuk 3:18-19 & Micah 6:8

A path is laid in front of you combined with purpose, grace, and intention greater than yourself. The stride that you journey with is a joyful mission designed only for you. God speaks to you throughout your journey with a sweet musical sound that your heart can hear. You must tune your ears and work to understand what is being asked of you and be willing to lean on His understanding and mission for your life. When the roads get rocky and if you lose your footing, know that you are still not alone in this journey. Practice goodness and empathy in what you do and know that anything you aim to do within your life if it is in His time and according to His will, it will be divinely orchestrated. Be joyful in your experiences and know that soon enough your greatness will come forth.

Be blessed and be at peace.

B – Being You

©KayLaN.Allen

As unhealthy and confusing as it can be for some people, at one point or another every one of us goes through a phase when we question and eventually set our identity. Life, education, culture, background, beliefs, and experiences help to shape who we are. In all things, even as you evolve you must continue to be who you are at your core.

Life is tough enough; external judgment could cause a negative shift inf you allow it to. You hold the key to your truth, so don’t alter things for someone else’s comfort. Remain the you that you are designed and purposed to be. Only if a change is warranted or needed to improve your life should it be done.

People will see you as how and who you are if they want to. In truth, the only opinion that matters is yours. The only emotional/character judge that matters is not found in enemies or naysayers. Being you will earn you a seat at the table of prosperity.

In deep clarity, you find yourself.

Be amazingly you…no one else can do it.

Bible Check-In (Read it alone and understand the meaning):
Ephesians 2:10

Spiritual Reflection: None of us are the same. Not one person on this Earth is perfect. Even with that knowledge, we can still hold true to the fact that each of us was created for a purpose and reason. Do the good that you can in the world by being yourself. Do not become something/someone different to please others. You were made in the image of your creator. I am made in His (God’s) image and I refuse to become someone else.

P- Painting Your Picture

©KayLaN.Allen

Even if you know absolutely nothing about painting, you can acknowledge and understand the importance of starting with a blank canvas.

Whatever you face in your life can shape and mold your future if you believe that you can change. Beginning a new journey is likened to a starting a paint from the stage of a blank canvas.

Picking your paint and choosing your brushes is the next step; this step is equal to you deciding the next level or next step that you are wanting to take.

Each day you make a choice to take certain actions; let’s consider making each action the same as a stroke of the brush.

Keep in mind that aiming for the future is a beautiful thing in life, but it can’t be possible if you are missing steps.

Every time you take a step you are adding to your future and beautifully painted picture.

If you are sitting idle or doubting your growth it is almost like smudging your work. You have to constantly make the choice to paint your picture.

Think about how you want your future life and painting to look. Now, think about what you are contributing right now.

Your current actions or lack thereof will affect everything and everyone around you (both in your present and future), so be mindful of that.

Be mindful of the colors that you choose to paint your life’s picture. Should you choose to rush through your life’s painting you will negatively alter the outcome. However, if you pace yourself, think logically about next steps, and process what your passion is and how to properly execute your purpose, your picture will be more beautiful than you can imagine.

God is my favorite artist. Think about what He has created and painted in your life’s picture. There are some pictures that are full of light and vibrant colors and some that are gloomy but passionate.

If you have any chance to change your life for the better, start from the inside out. Be a master painter for yourself and your family.

Think about what you are feeding your family; you can shop on a small budget and still eat healthy meals (if you need advice on how, please feel free to ask me because I know very well how to eat on a budget). Images or actions that bring about negativity, evil thoughts or poor behavior are not what you should tune into.

Think about what you are exposing your family/children to; what your children see will affect many parts of their lives. Be mindful and think clearly about the picture you are painting.

Think of what you are showing yourself and what you are feeding your soul.

Don’t limit yourself; know that higher beings (God, for me) and/or the Universe is the visionary and the implementer, but also remember you are the painter of your life’s picture and you are holding the easel of every color imaginable. I can’t wait to see how beautiful your picture will be! Please do share it with me. 🙂

Genesis 1:27
“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” If you know that you are a creation and God blessed you with uniqueness, doesn’t that make you an artist in life?  You are full of gifts and talents that no one else has, doesn’t that make you an artist? Yes, definitely!!

Proverbs 4:23
“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” What you create, speak on, and think about shape your life. If you are an artist of your life, which you are, live in positivity as best as possible. Correct when you have made a mistake. Grow beyond your comfort level. You are in charge.

I know that you want amazing things in your life, so let’s start painting this beautiful life picture!

Be blessed and be at peace.

J- Jewels in Your Life

©KayLaN.Allen

For every bad thing that you encounter or endured there is something beautiful to be seen or understood.

Lessons learned in life can be so difficult and I could never make light of anything that anyone faces, but I will say that there is a reason for your circumstances.

Whether we are talking about an abusive relationship that you have overcome, an amazing job that you have had your eye on, a love that you lost, or anything in between there is a lesson to be learned from each situation/circumstance.

I know that you have learned and know very well that all that glitters isn’t gold, but do you also know that there are jewels to be discovered and appreciated in your darkest of days and clearest of nights?

Everything that you go through has a meaning, you have to understand that the lesson no matter how difficult it may be to receive is a blessing for you.

I want you to think about these lessons as the jewels in your life. If this means that you have to put on your hypothetical rose colored glasses (only for a moment) to see the positivity in your situation, do it.

Challenge yourself to take a journey through your mind, heart, body, and soul- give your situations, storms, circumstances a “full body scan” so to speak, and think about the why and work without giving up to understand the lesson.

When you wear your favorite accessory or piece of jewelry, you do so because it makes you feel a sense of happiness right? Shouldn’t your life’s lessons give you a sense of happiness after they have been learned?

Think about all of the things that make your life grand, beautiful, and worth living even when your heart is feeling heavy – this is easier said than done, but is very much worth it.

Take note and think about all of the jewels in your life: lessons, peace, happiness, family, kids, friends, education, successes, business, gifts and talents.

To the Bible & Universe We Go!

Proverbs 20:15
“There is gold and abundance of costly stones, but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.” You don’t have to own jewels, gems, or stones to understand how gorgeous and precious they are. Your mind, body, and soul are precious jewels. Evolution of your mind is more precious than jewels; your knowledge is your life’s glimmering light.

The Universe gifts you with lessons, experiences, wisdom, knowledge, opportunities, and values to be appreciated. Each of which are grand, beautiful, and a wonderful part of your life. Take the time to understand this and be joyful in it.

Isaiah 62:3
“You shall be a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of God.” You are absolutely amazing and truly a jewel; your value and worth are high on the list my dear. Take a hint and work to bless your own life and all of those around you by wearing your jewels that life and God have given you.

D-Diving in Head First

©KayLaN.Allen

If you have ever jumped in a pool, you definitely know how necessary it is to be prepared to hold your breath and go for it in a flash.

Thinking about how this may work in life is quite interesting.

We all have different hopes and dreams, but where would we be if we did not hold back the fears/doubts and would just dive in?

It can be difficult for many to do this because they are afraid of the outcome. Still others may not be able to go for their dreams in a flash because the timing simply isn’t right.

What if you didn’t think about all of the possible outcomes and you did whatever you could to focus on the best one?
What if you were able to ignore any thoughts of failure?

Let’s prep first…
With anything that you want in life or that you dream of you must start with a vision/dream.

Get creative and put that vision on paper, I know that I love to see my vision and dreams in front of me so vision boards and affirmations are a significant part of my life.

When you can see it, you can further believe that it will be and already is true.

After you can see it on paper, then you need to plan things out. Ask yourself and in a timely fashion get answers to how you can make things happen.

Make a logical plan internally, only then can you fully execute your mission.

Step by step and piece by piece you are preparing for the greatest dive of your life. How does it feel? You ought to feel amazing and empowered.

For every moment that you choose to sit back hoping that something will happen magically, there is someone else with the same original thought that is pushing and pushing forward and getting where you may be still simply dreaming of.

Now that you know how to prep for your dive, let’s think about the why…

Belief in yourself is an internal action that can be released into the external world through your actions and practiced faith. If you exercise that belief and create actions that are attainable, then everything changes for the better.

Why should you prepare for a dive into your highest goals/dreams? Simply because you deserve it and it is the only way that anything will come into fruition.

Even if that dive seems deep and the current is against you, you have got to keep fighting and maintain your breath. Work in your own favor.

Job 12:10 “The life of every living thing is in His hand, as well as the breath of all mankind”. If we can hold firm to the fact that God literally has everything in His hands, can’t we rest assured that our future and our present are covered and blessed according to His will? The Universe is working in your favor, so be mindful of what you do and/or don’t put into your life (in thought or physical action).

Psalms 56:3
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you”. Even if one step on your journey may seem too big or very scary, trust that everything will turn out just fine. Trust in God, trust in yourself and believe (from the beginning and during the tough days) that all will be amazing. Creating shifts in the Universe means that you release the negativity and create better thoughts.

Every day there is a new lesson to be learned, so why not use those lessons to become fully prepared for your life’s big dive?

Push your own limits and challenge yourself to be the best at everything you do, you deserve that and so much more.

I believe in you, do you?
Are you ready to take that dive? If not, get ready…time waits for no one.

Be blessed and be at peace.

***Health Spotlight***
Diphtheria (an infection)
Symptoms: Weakness, sore throat, fever, swollen neck glands, gray coating in throat/nose, breathing difficulties; potential for damage to heart, kidneys, and nerves also exist. (CDC)
PreventionVaccination is recommended; it was once a major cause of illness and death in children, so be mindful of what people can face without vaccination and attempting to prevent disease/infection.
Treatment: Physicians can swab the throat to test for the presence of bacteria that causes Diphtheria. An antitoxin/antibiotics are used to stop the poison and to kill/get rid of the bacteria, respectively. Treatment does not mean that all are saved, though.
Prevalence: Even with treatment 1 in 10 die from Diphtheria. In some countries there are upwards of 700 people cases in a year; even though there are very few reports in the US, it is very necessary to protect yourself as best as possible. WHO
Public Health Connection: Because Diphtheria is spread through droplets from coughing or sneezing, it can easy be transmitted to others. A person can also get Diphtheria from touching a object (like a toy) that has the bacteria on it. Be mindful of everything that you/your children come in contact with. Seek a physician if you are ill; do not wait, try to find out about what you are experiencing by using the internet, or try to self-medicate. There are many inexpensive clinics that you may have access to. Work hard to protect yourselves and your family. Practice proper hygiene and proper sneezing/coughing techniques- do so in your elbow, not your hands. Dive into being mindful about your health and that of your family; you can’t live your best life if you are not taking care of your physical health.
