C-Conscious Thinking

©KayLaN.Allen

The way that we envision our lives can be much different than our typical thought processes. From some, that may not be a big deal, but for others it could significantly deter a path to success. We can shift from ideas to deep thoughts and feasible actions by being more conscientious with how we think.

Dreamers and optimists see life with a different set of eyes than others, and that sets them apart from every day thinkers and doers. We must always choose how we think and carry out our actions. This may be difficult, but it can determine outcomes, level of understanding, and personal growth.

Shifting my thoughts when I am discouraged, disappointed, angry and even in a phase of hyper-optimism can be trying. What if we were to determine our own mental control. What if you could eliminate negative, unproductive thinking? The good news is we can. Work hard at it and don’t give up. This positivity leads to clarity and an altered lifestyle.

Proverbs 14:15

Spiritual Connection:
Are you keeping your spirit “in-check”? We are all filled with a purpose and we often create missions for our lives. We have been gifted spiritually to do anything that we can imagine if it is for good. If we choose to lean solely on the possibility of a miracle, we may miss out on greater things due to faulty thinking. Create a newness in yourself and your future by using what you have been granted in your heart and mind by your creator – God. Treat your mind like the mental garden that it is. Water your seeds and watch them grow; choose to do this over and over again. Make consciousness a mindset that is a part of your lifestyle and I guarantee, from proof via my own experiences, your live will continue to reap and see increase.

Z – Zero to Infinity

©KayLaN.Allen

All things must start somewhere.

No matter the turmoil of your past, you can start from your own “ground zero”.

Overcoming any situation is only one of the tough parts of evolving. You must also be able to handle any thoughts, consequences, and circumstances that may arise in connection to the past.

All good houses must start with a foundation, so we can treat the next phase of life as the foundation building phase.

In this phase, you must grow and fight the good fight.

No one can jump from phase zero to infinity without a lot of effort in between. Even those who may seem to skip phases must go through times of learning and growth.

To climb a mountain you don’t start at the bottom, blink your eyes, and arrive at the top, right? So, in your life don’t expect things to happen that way either.

Be healthy in your growth. Allow yourself to experience what comes with it.
Treat yourself kindly. This means you have to do what it takes to eliminate doubt, prevent self-destruction, and pace yourself throughout your journey.

Understand and respect that you are nothing like you used to be. People of the past don’t need to “know” the new you. Don’t allow anyone to “make you” become/act like you used to. Don’t go back in time to connect to people or comfortable circumstances; it will only hurt you.

We all have the chance to go from zero to infinity.

Is the journey worth it? What if you put in the work and become successful?
On the other hand, what if you looked back 10 years from now and you weren’t making the progress that you could have been? How would that make you feel?

Dream big, but also take the steps to match up with what you are wanting to experience in the physical realm.

My zero may have been brokenness, trauma, and pain, but my infinity will be true joy, success, and constant evolution.

Habbakuk 2:3
“For the revelation awaits for an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”  Your greatness is coming, even though you may not be able to see it yet. Keep working, evolving, and know that you are not alone in your journey. In His timing, things will happen. Be patient.

Psalms 138:8
“The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Isn’t it beautiful to know that God is forever and His love is forever? If you know that He is on your team, you must also know that he will guide you, provide, support, love, and encourage you all the way through if you invite Him in and truly allow Him to do so.

Y-You’re Not Always Your Problem

©KayLaN.Allen

We can count on all of our fingers and toes the concerns that we face on any given day.

We sometimes even find that our problems are bigger than us. This isn’t to say that sometimes you aren’t what is blocking your path, though.

Think about how many obstacles get in the way daily. Are they are always easy to solve? Surely not.

Are you always the reason for your problems? No.

In the grand scheme of things, although we may not be the main source of our problems, we do play a role in them.

You see, doubt, fears, disappointment, anger, frustration, and everything in between get housed internally even if they originate from an outside source.

Take your time to learn that and don’t brush it off; that lesson will change your mood, day, and life.

It may take several adjustments within yourself, but don’t let your problems outweigh your potential.

What if the very thing that we perceive to be a problem is actually a fear that has been overgrown by weeds that we’ve allowed to grow?

You have to work to understand what situations mean. It does not always make sense to go with your gut; sometimes meditating, talking about it, or praying for clarity is a better solution. Sometimes your heart/gut can lead you in the wrong direction, so you need to understand your contribution of the unselfish truth of the matter.

You’re not always your problem, sometimes it’s other’s negativity, fears, doubts, lack of understanding, or some type of internal brokenness. If we don’t understand this, we can easily get hurt by something that should not have had a negative impact, to begin with.

John 16:33
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world, you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  You may sometimes think that you have all of the answers, but you may also be holding the weight of many concerns. Take courage and know that you are not living this life to be in sorrow or disappointment. Our heavenly father bore it all and he will give us perfect peace when we need it most if we seek him first, have faith, and do His will.

Proverbs 12:10
“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” Anxiety is real and can be difficult to manage, but we can do something about it. Learning, love, having healthy conversations, and spiritual guidance can shift things in ways you couldn’t imagine.

There are things that are greater/bigger than us that could be holding us back from greatness. Let nothing or no one stop you from reaching your destiny.

W – Wonder

©KayLaN.Allen
Wonder = Surprise + Admiration
Every day we experience this is so many ways. How can we hold onto those tiny moments and find new love in spaces in time?
When we can learn how to hold strong to wonder, we can find new joy and happiness in life.
Moments of wonder that we all experience:
Hearing a baby coo
Witnessing a rainbow
Learning something new
Observing a flower come into full bloom
Seeing a lightning strike in the darkest of nights
Hearing a song and it ignites a fire internally
There are so many moments of wonder that can happen at any moment, even when we’re feeling down or our hearts are breaking.
Just like we can take the time to complete an assignment at school or work, couldn’t we document moments of wonder?
Treat your wonder as an investment in your future. When we save money it is for something greater, so couldn’t life’s wonders be saved in the form of memories, gifts, or blessings for the greater good?
When was the last time that you look into the eyes of a child when they experienced wonder? How did it make you feel?
You can house joy and wonder in your soul and experience it time and time again if you tap into it.
I encourage you to seek wonder every day and enjoy the gift that it is for you.

Wonder is like you closing your eyes, imagining the most beautiful or amazing thing, then opening your eyes and seeing it right in front of you.

Psalms 103:11-12
“For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward them that fear Him. As the east is from the west, so far hath He removed our transgressions from.”
Do you know how full of wonder God is? When was the last time you REALLY thought about Him? God is a God of wonder and miracles. Isn’t that something powerful enough to hold firm to every day? What if we set a reminder on our phones every day about that? (It’s not a bad idea, I am going to do this myself and you should too!)

Psalms 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.”
There is a sense of wonder in the beauty of God’s creations…all of which constantly surround us. If you ever lose sight or cannot find the truth in His wonders, simply look to the sky.

V – Visions Inside of You

©KayLaN.Allen

Dreamers dream, creators create, and visionaries light up with joy when seeing their visions inside of their minds.

Do you dream big?  I do!

Do you get happy seeing your visions that blossom with a simple seed of thoughts? I do!
A vision is a flower blossoming from one seed of thought.

Your intellect and your passion will drive your creative car if you are willing to hand over the keys.

You are allowed to dream!
You are allowed to envision yourself as absolutely anything that is amazing to you!

If I listened to laughs, doubts, fears, and other people’s opinions, I would not be in the space that I am in now. (Think about this because it can be the same for you).

When your visions and dreams are big, it is easy for other people to come in and say words that can alter your thinking and your plans. That is your decision and your loss if you choose to do that, but the truth is you don’t have to.

Some of the most difficult and yet vital parts of reaching any level of success or happiness are owning your vision, labeling goals, and creating action steps to make it happen. Take the first step and keep your momentum going; the climb is so valuable!

You must go beyond your thoughts and dreams to lead a successful, purpose-driven life.

If your vision stays in your mind, you not only deprive yourself, you also deprive the intended audience/client of receiving what your greatness has to offer.

Let’s go to the bible:

Acts 18:9
“One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.”” What if Paul didn’t listen, and he missed the calling for him to speak God’s word? What if you don’t listen? What will happen? What won’t happen? Take heed and let nothing stop your visions from becoming a reality. God is pouring light into you, what are you going to do with it?

1 Corinthians 2:9
“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him.”. Your vision is great, but God’s is even greater. If you take the steps to maximize your potential, guess what God is going to do for you?! He is going to take it in levels that you never thought were conceivable.

Your hands and your mind hold the key to your future. Get out there and work; no moment of your effort will be in vain. Your vision may be inside of you now, but I firmly believe that you that it will be blossoming from your mind in a way that will bless the world one person at a time.

S – Satisfy Your Taste

©KayLaN.Allen

What is your favorite thing to eat?
I am an experimental eater – meaning I wouldn’t mind trying most things at least once. There is some fun and excitement in eating new things, for me.

Although you love to eat some pretty delectable things, have you ever thought about how much it may be damaging you?

Don’t get me wrong, I love breads and desserts, but my body shows adverse effects including weight gain, higher cholesterol, and more fatigue when I indulge. Think about how you want to live out the rest of your life and how what you put into your body may be affecting you.

Even if a taste of something may be satisfying, you need to be mindful of the consequences.

What if you flip this scenario around and base it on growth in your life?

What if you did whatever it took to satisfy your mental taste?

What if you indulged in a new flavor?

How can you reach success if you are never satisfied?

There is a recipe to your Level-10 Success:
10 parts manifestation
10 parts self-care
10 parts self- love
10 parts prayer
10 parts visualization
50 parts hard work
——————————–
100 = Level-10 Success

The life you lead is your own. What you allow to alter your taste buds is up to you. Let nothing leave you with a lingering, gross taste without first valuing the meal.

Ecclesiastes 2: 24-25
“There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God, for apart from Him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?” If you are rolling through life unhappily or dissatisfied, you can change that; God offers you so much more. He will give you all that you worked hard for and truly desire. You can have it all #youcanttellmeno   The universe always returns what you put into it; if you are allowing yourself to eat only what you are mentally fed and you are not creating satisfaction you will get more of the same. Exercise your mind, the outcome will be far beyond what you could imagine.

John 4:34
“Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent me and to accomplish His work””. Are you satisfying your taste while following God’s plans for your life or might you be longing for a new meal all while trying to feed your own soul? You are here for a reason and you have a specific purpose, so keep that in mind when the world dishes out a plate of unpleasant foods. You can adjust your life’s recipe to satisfy your taste.

Life is full of wonderful ingredients and fabulous mental/life recipes…what are you using to satisfy your taste?

R – Relieve Your Pain

©KayLaN.Allen

Let’s chat about the hard days and moments.

Fill in your own answers…

How many times have you cried yourself to sleep?

How many friends have you lost?
How many losses have you experienced/lived through?
How many times have you convinced yourself that you were unhappy?
How many times have you stayed in a broken relationship?
How many times have you forgiven others?
How many times have you beaten yourself down?

The questions could go on and on, but the real question that you should ask yourself is “what did you learn”.

You must be willing to give yourself permission to relieve your pain.

Without permission to heal, how can you move forward?

Are you walking around with your perceived “brokenness” on your sleeves?

You should be a walking story, but not one housing the pain of your past.

People are not always what they seem and books’ finest and most beautiful details are not found on their covers.

Re-create your life, fill your heart with what you love, make yourself truly happy, feed your soul, reinvent your everything and show yourself true relief and healing.

John 16:33

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Although you may have faced pain you must remember that you do not have hold strong to it. He bore it all!

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” His promises are grand! His vision for your life is perfect! No matter what you faced, the best is yet to come if you believe, hold strong to your faith, and put in the work.

Give yourself hope and freedom, relieve your pain.

If your pain is in your past, shouldn’t your power and freedom be in your present and future? Live it up!

Be blessed and be at peace.

Q – Quietness Matters

©KayLaN.Allen

When you are trying to tackle any task from cooking to developing in your career, you can understand how difficult it is to function when there is a lot of noise around you.

When you are surrounded by noise and over-activity there is a likelihood that you will not be able to accomplish what you are wanting in a timely and stress-free way.

Think about how important it is to complete major tasks and how it could be so much simpler without outside noise.

What if you could shut off the noise in your head?

The truth of the matter is that you can. You have the full ability to challenge your mind to a quest for quietness. One of the most important things to do to achieve true silence when you need it most is to remember what you are trying to accomplish and why. Only when you know the impact/purpose of your quiet quest can you reach your full potential.

Control- Once you can grasp the concept of control, you can understand that it is not something you always have. In your quietness, you can gain control in some aspects. Take time to learn about how control can affect your life. When in silence, think about the power of direction and the space that you have for growth.

Worry- When you are feeling worried, finding time to silence your brain is mandatory. A running mind will only bring about more concerns and possibly frustration. When I get into any space of worry, I have to step back and remember that any time given to worry is time that could have been spent elsewhere. Quietness can shift your thinking if you cue positive thoughts and well-directed visions when you are feeling worrisome.

Noise- To much sound, just like too many traveling thoughts, can be very distracting and deter you from reaching any goals.

How to silence the noise and realize that quietness matters:
Prayer- this is your time to be one with God; you can be real, honest, vulnerable, and open in a one-on-one communication with your creator.
Meditation- this space is a time to become one with yourself and align your mind with whatever you are putting your focus into.

Enjoy some time in nature, go for a walk, pray, meditate…do whatever it takes to hone in on what feeds your mind and soul.

In your quiet time, what are you thinking about?
What are you putting your energy into?

Matthew 6:6
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done is secret, will reward you.”
There is a gift and a blessing in your prayer. Take seriously and place a high value on the silence and rawness in your prayers.
Romans 12:1-2
“I beg you therefore, my brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God by a logical service. Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God- what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”
Shifting of your thoughts for the good and greater good are in line with what God has for you and your life. Your thinking, especially in the quiet is powerful, so take charge and bring forth thoughts that are positive, growth-filled, and success bound.

***Health Spotlight***
Quietness in Revealing Symptoms/Concerns
Each time your body reveals to you something that is out of the normal, troubling, or painful, you have the choice to seek help. Even in the realm of mental health, you must choose to pay attention to what you are facing. You must choose to take good care of yourself- mind, body, and spirit. When it comes to your health, you must not remain quiet; be honest and pay attention, especially in your quiet times.

Be blessed and be at peace.

N – No Longer a Victim

©KayLaN.Allen

Whether you are the person that lost yourself, faced brokenness, lost your voice, were beaten, were molested, faced assault of any kind, face being hurt with intent, or anything in between you were once a victim.

I faced much from being forced to do unspeakable acts to being physically and sexually assaulted. This is my truth that I share to you. There is much more than could be shared, but we will keep the past brief as the future is much more important.

You see, when you were living in pain, you were forced to become a person that you were surely not happy with. Perhaps, like me, you felt torn apart, like you had no value, like your opinions and/or feelings didn’t matter. Maybe you felt like you became another person to make someone else comfortable, unbothered, or calm… None of this is fair and I can assure you that I can relate to you in one way or another.

At some point, you have to realize that you are no longer a victim.
– If you have already done this, I applaud you and send you the warmest of hugs on the greatest change that has occurred in your life. I promise that you still have growing to do and thoughts of the past will arise (I know this from experience), but you have put in some serious work and have taught yourself some truly valuable life and love lessons.

– If you have not done this already, your time is now. You can Break Your Silence Against Domestic Violence or whatever you may have faced in your past. You ARE NO LONGER A VICTIM, I speak that (out loud) on your life right now.

I freely speak freedom on your life because I know how it feels to be bound to your pain. You, in this very moment, have to power to gain your freedom and live in it.

Freedom is a release of all that may have hurt you or held you back in some form.

You have to make the choice and consistent decision to say:
I am no longer a victim.
I am no longer going to allow my past to hurt me.
The lessons that my past ( the Universe and/or God) taught me are for my good.
My past does not control my future.
What I faced will not stop me.
I may have dealt with that, but I can still have anything that I want in my life.

For me when I faced homelessness, brokenness, deep pain, hopelessness, and a loss of self, I could not see anything but that. I had to learn and re-learn all that I could have in my life. God promised me (and you) a life of prosperity. I had to decide again and again to chose me.

You MUST reclaim your power. You must make the decision to stop being a victim and move into the realms of being a survivor; this is only step one. For every moment that you allow your past to reign over you or any aspect of your life, you lose another significant moment of happiness, peace, and living in your greatest purpose.

I’m not making light of anything that you have faced, as I know pain and have spoken to/mentored many people in their quest to be free and live a positively evolved life. What I am saying is that you have to choose yourself over and over again; this is the only way that you can truly be free.

I lived as a victim more years than one. I lived as a victim and the pain weighed more than a ton. I lived as victim through perceived obligation and force. Now I have changed my life for the better, never to return to that broken obstacle course. #btsadv #KayLasPositivityCorner

No more making excuses about how you can’t do things because you were hurt. It is time for you to take control.

If I can go through rounds of pain for years, find myself, then fall again, find myself then make excuses for my abuserS, then find myself again and crawl out of the dust to get to where I am – now a Master of Public Health that graduated with a well-deserved 4.0 making the President’s List twice, an empowerment via holistic health blogger, and the managing director at Break The Silence Against Domestic Violence, you can do absolutely anything that you put your mind to. You are no longer a victim, so stop behaving as such. Proclaim that you are free and start fighting for want you want and deserve in you life. Need an accountability partner? I will help you and you can help me.

This message is so strong and so important to me that we have to hit the bible three times!

Psalms 9:9
“The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” God has been there for you even if you didn’t know it or feel His presence. When you were going through your rough patches, He was implanting love and strength in you. It is your time to act on all that you have learn; welcome God into this new part of your journey and remember that you are no longer a victim and you must start acting/living like it.

The Universe activates what you think about and act on. If you are telling yourself that you are living in low spaces or thoughts as you are because of what you experienced, guess what thoughts and feelings will surround you? Brokenness and inability to change you life for the better. Be encouraged starting right now and change everything because you deserve it. Speak it out loud, it is being heard!

Psalms 147:3
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” You are no longer a victim, God is binding your wounds, putting you through perfect surgery. What are you doing with your healing? How are you living? How do you feel? If you are not shaking everything up and working on bettering your life and living in your highest purpose, you are doing yourself a great disservice! You better start making changes because no matter what you faced, no one can change your future except you.

2 Timothy 1:7
“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” Tell your giants (your past pain and anything that binds you) that it is time go! Knock your walls down! If you haven’t made changes, turned things around for your good, or loosed whatever has hurt you, you may be living in fear but that is not what God has promised you. He gave you so much more…so what are you doing with it? If you haven’t done anything with that knowledge, I dare you to start today! “You are the seed by faith received, the blessing of Abraham – it’s your inheritance, get your inheritance!” -Donald Lawrence

I said it before and I say it again SURVIVORS, YOU ARE NO LONGER VICTIMS SO ACT LIKE IT! I believe in you and I know that you are going to have so many great things come your way if you have faith, believe in yourself, and act on what you want.

You are living, so start doing so! Dream big… I do! Why dream small when you can have it all?

Be blessed and be at peace.

Healthy Communities: We all deserve access to high-quality, compassionate care, but this is not always the case for many communities. Do what you can to create a shift in this in your own neighborhood via volunteer efforts or anything that calls to your heart. It will make a true difference.

Violence Prevention: What you and your children watch, hear, listen to on the radio, read about etc. affects everything that you do. Speak peace, bridge gaps faced, do whatever you can to heal people around you, you may just save a life. We can all do our part here.

Rural Health: You can act positively here and work to bridge gaps in healthcare. Build a program, share your ideas with organizations, volunteer, contribute, do whatever it takes to bring health to all people. People living in urban areas should have the same access as others; if we collaborate and keep our hearts intact we can create a positive and long-lasting impact in healthcare.

Technology and Public Health: The world is changing and advancing rapidly, bringing care to people can mean the use of technology. I am building a program to bridge a gap in dv, what are you doing to make a shift using what you know and are an expert in?

Global Health: We walk through life often complaining about what we face big or small. How often do you think about the world? Global health is so important to me because I frequently think about people what others are facing: no access to care, drought, disease, homelessness, etc. This world has over 7 billion people living in it. If you can help one person, one community, one state in health care, think about how much you have done and how many others will be positively impacted.

You have the power to create positive changes all around you. Start digging to find out how. Live in your positive purpose today and forever. The world needs you. Use your lessons from the days of being a victim to empower and change the world today.

When you open your eyes each day you are granted new mercies, a vision of light, a feeling that is new, and a chance to do something new. You have the chance to get even closer to who you are called to be, each day- do you ever think about how lucky you are to do so?

Every day when you rise from your bed, do you really think about being able to use your legs and being able to walk, get yourself from place to place and move about when you get ready to? Walking is something that not everyone is able to do…are you happy and thankful for that function and ability? Do you really think about it and cherish it?

What about the use of your taste buds and sense of smell? Imagine how many delightful things that cross your path that you are able to enjoy and take pleasure in because you have those senses?

No matter which of your regular functions that you do take time to think about, shouldn’t you have a keen delight in each thing?

Keen in this sense is referring to being passionate and enthusiastic.

Everything that you are able to do is special, amazing, a blessing, and such a journey to behold.

What if every day you appreciated (in true delight) all of your senses?

What if you really took the time to smell the roses?

When was the last time you sat still at looked at the beauty of the clouds?

You have your favorite things that you love to eat, do you really appreciate the joy and deliciousness of all that you savor?

Do you savor all that you sense?

Think about it…some of the most wonderful things that you enjoy in life are attached to your senses.

A hug from someone so special to me brings me joy, warmth, and peace.

It is a blessing to experience the love of life and all within it. Even when your days are tiring, overwhelming and making you feel low, you have so many things to delight in.

Each time that something makes you smile what if took a few extra moments and truly appreciated that feeling?

In keen delight, value and appreciate everything wonderful that your senses bring to you.

Imagine a life where you could not experience the blessing of sense and feelings…you would miss out on so much.

Down bible road we go!

Proverbs 20:12
“Ears that hear and eyes that see – the Lord has made them both.”  Every day that you wake up, if you do not do so already you should be thankful and give thanks for your senses. There is so much to be thankful for, even the seemingly small or normal things. Count your blessings…they are all valuable. God did not have to give you anything, so be thankful and appreciate it all.

The Universe, or if you believe in God (He), have so much for you to appreciate with all of your senses, if you don’t pay attention to it all, you may miss it.

1 Corinthians 2:9-10
“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived the things God has prepared for those who love him- these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.” If you cannot appreciate the grandeur of life presented to you through your senses, will you be prepared for the most beautiful things that God has in store for you? Live in your happiness and appreciate all that you see, hear, feel, touch, and taste if it truly brings you joy.

Be blessed and be at peace.
