Let’s chat about the hard days and moments.
Fill in your own answers…
How many times have you cried yourself to sleep?
How many friends have you lost?
How many losses have you experienced/lived through?
How many times have you convinced yourself that you were unhappy?
How many times have you stayed in a broken relationship?
How many times have you forgiven others?
How many times have you beaten yourself down?
The questions could go on and on, but the real question that you should ask yourself is “what did you learn”.
You must be willing to give yourself permission to relieve your pain.
Without permission to heal, how can you move forward?
Are you walking around with your perceived “brokenness” on your sleeves?
You should be a walking story, but not one housing the pain of your past.
People are not always what they seem and books’ finest and most beautiful details are not found on their covers.
Re-create your life, fill your heart with what you love, make yourself truly happy, feed your soul, reinvent your everything and show yourself true relief and healing.
John 16:33
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” Although you may have faced pain you must remember that you do not have hold strong to it. He bore it all!
Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” His promises are grand! His vision for your life is perfect! No matter what you faced, the best is yet to come if you believe, hold strong to your faith, and put in the work.
Give yourself hope and freedom, relieve your pain.
If your pain is in your past, shouldn’t your power and freedom be in your present and future? Live it up!
Be blessed and be at peace.

Q – Quietness Matters
©KayLaN.Allen
When you are trying to tackle any task from cooking to developing in your career, you can understand how difficult it is to function when there is a lot of noise around you.
When you are surrounded by noise and over-activity there is a likelihood that you will not be able to accomplish what you are wanting in a timely and stress-free way.
Think about how important it is to complete major tasks and how it could be so much simpler without outside noise.
What if you could shut off the noise in your head?
The truth of the matter is that you can. You have the full ability to challenge your mind to a quest for quietness. One of the most important things to do to achieve true silence when you need it most is to remember what you are trying to accomplish and why. Only when you know the impact/purpose of your quiet quest can you reach your full potential.
Control- Once you can grasp the concept of control, you can understand that it is not something you always have. In your quietness, you can gain control in some aspects. Take time to learn about how control can affect your life. When in silence, think about the power of direction and the space that you have for growth.
Worry- When you are feeling worried, finding time to silence your brain is mandatory. A running mind will only bring about more concerns and possibly frustration. When I get into any space of worry, I have to step back and remember that any time given to worry is time that could have been spent elsewhere. Quietness can shift your thinking if you cue positive thoughts and well-directed visions when you are feeling worrisome.
Noise- To much sound, just like too many traveling thoughts, can be very distracting and deter you from reaching any goals.
How to silence the noise and realize that quietness matters:
Prayer- this is your time to be one with God; you can be real, honest, vulnerable, and open in a one-on-one communication with your creator.
Meditation- this space is a time to become one with yourself and align your mind with whatever you are putting your focus into.
Enjoy some time in nature, go for a walk, pray, meditate…do whatever it takes to hone in on what feeds your mind and soul.
In your quiet time, what are you thinking about?
What are you putting your energy into?
Matthew 6:6
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done is secret, will reward you.”
There is a gift and a blessing in your prayer. Take seriously and place a high value on the silence and rawness in your prayers.
Romans 12:1-2
“I beg you therefore, my brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God by a logical service. Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God- what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”
Shifting of your thoughts for the good and greater good are in line with what God has for you and your life. Your thinking, especially in the quiet is powerful, so take charge and bring forth thoughts that are positive, growth-filled, and success bound.

Quietness in Revealing Symptoms/Concerns
Each time your body reveals to you something that is out of the normal, troubling, or painful, you have the choice to seek help. Even in the realm of mental health, you must choose to pay attention to what you are facing. You must choose to take good care of yourself- mind, body, and spirit. When it comes to your health, you must not remain quiet; be honest and pay attention, especially in your quiet times.
Be blessed and be at peace.

P- Painting Your Picture
©KayLaN.Allen
Even if you know absolutely nothing about painting, you can acknowledge and understand the importance of starting with a blank canvas.
Whatever you face in your life can shape and mold your future if you believe that you can change. Beginning a new journey is likened to a starting a paint from the stage of a blank canvas.
Picking your paint and choosing your brushes is the next step; this step is equal to you deciding the next level or next step that you are wanting to take.
Each day you make a choice to take certain actions; let’s consider making each action the same as a stroke of the brush.
Keep in mind that aiming for the future is a beautiful thing in life, but it can’t be possible if you are missing steps.
Every time you take a step you are adding to your future and beautifully painted picture.
If you are sitting idle or doubting your growth it is almost like smudging your work. You have to constantly make the choice to paint your picture.
Think about how you want your future life and painting to look. Now, think about what you are contributing right now.
Your current actions or lack thereof will affect everything and everyone around you (both in your present and future), so be mindful of that.
Be mindful of the colors that you choose to paint your life’s picture. Should you choose to rush through your life’s painting you will negatively alter the outcome. However, if you pace yourself, think logically about next steps, and process what your passion is and how to properly execute your purpose, your picture will be more beautiful than you can imagine.
God is my favorite artist. Think about what He has created and painted in your life’s picture. There are some pictures that are full of light and vibrant colors and some that are gloomy but passionate.
If you have any chance to change your life for the better, start from the inside out. Be a master painter for yourself and your family.
Think about what you are feeding your family; you can shop on a small budget and still eat healthy meals (if you need advice on how, please feel free to ask me because I know very well how to eat on a budget). Images or actions that bring about negativity, evil thoughts or poor behavior are not what you should tune into.
Think about what you are exposing your family/children to; what your children see will affect many parts of their lives. Be mindful and think clearly about the picture you are painting.
Think of what you are showing yourself and what you are feeding your soul.
Don’t limit yourself; know that higher beings (God, for me) and/or the Universe is the visionary and the implementer, but also remember you are the painter of your life’s picture and you are holding the easel of every color imaginable. I can’t wait to see how beautiful your picture will be! Please do share it with me. 🙂
Genesis 1:27
“God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” If you know that you are a creation and God blessed you with uniqueness, doesn’t that make you an artist in life? You are full of gifts and talents that no one else has, doesn’t that make you an artist? Yes, definitely!!
Proverbs 4:23
“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” What you create, speak on, and think about shape your life. If you are an artist of your life, which you are, live in positivity as best as possible. Correct when you have made a mistake. Grow beyond your comfort level. You are in charge.
I know that you want amazing things in your life, so let’s start painting this beautiful life picture!
Be blessed and be at peace.

O – Ocean Waves Of Your Life
©KayLaN.Allen
Nature is beyond grand and I will tell anyone that “God is my favorite artist”.
Think about the crashing of waves, and the rise and fall that is constantly occurring in them. If you compare that up and down flow to your life, you can see how the highs and lows may seem like they are always coming and going.
If you treat your life like it is a constant wave of emotions and actions, what are you left with? A life that never seems to change…who wants the same thing over and over again? I surely don’t.
What if you visited beach and really took some time to watch the rise and crash of the waves? What if you thought about all it took to get to that height of the wave and the release within the crash?
There must take some serious wind, power, pull and friction for a wave to form; it isn’t just an automatic rise and fall. Think about this is in your life. As a wave takes much power and a combined effort to rise and fall, reaching goals does as well. Piece by piece, you can build what you thought you could only dream.
Sure the fall or crash part of the wave can feel like it is over, but just like your low points in life, it’s not the end. Think about it, every time that you fell, found sadness, or couldn’t see the light in your darkest day, somehow…some way, you were able to rise again.
This is the thing, you must climb, fight, dig in, learn, evolve, find your power, focus on how awesome you are and become even greater over time. Become like ocean waves, be amazing and powerful at your highs and lows.
Listen to the lessons in your ups and down. Waves roar and crash, both with power; you can do this too! No matter how difficult a moment may be, eventually you will see how much power you are packing in your highlights and lowlights.
Micah 7:8
“Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” No matter season of your growth that you may be in, do not let any negative voices or thoughts come into your circle. Keep in mind that you are “entertaining” different audiences at all times: those who applaud and support your highs, and those who truly applaud your falls. Remain focused on the good in all things as God is blessing your path (both seen directions and unseen). The Universe can see your falls and is in tune with what you have faced, but will also activate the positivity and growth that you seek if you stay focused.
Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.” Though in life you are met with highs and lows as waves do, God has major plans. His ways are magnificent, His power is beyond words, His love will fill you, and the spaces He creates for you will be perfectly shaped and in Divine timing.
Ride the waves of your life and appreciate your moments, you won’t regret it.
Be blessed and be at peace.

C-Chasing Away Personal Monsters
©KayLaN.Allen
Your monsters come in every shape and form. Monsters big or small can wreak havoc, throw stones at you, break your pride, and dim your light…..if you let them.
When you grow into your strengths, live in your purpose, and push to become that which you are called to be even the biggest of monsters can be chased away.
For some, their monsters are people
…these people have caused pain, brokenness, confusion, frustration, and loss of self. These people are essentially spirit-breakers; when they find the space and place to bring on the pain and heartbreak they lay it on hard.
The challenge for you is to see beyond your tears and not allow those pain-evoking people to crush you from the inside-out. Do not allow these people into your circle and certainly do not allow anyone to stay in your life should they exhibit ugliness, evil, or any type of negativity. Stand up, shine your light, and chase away those who do not belong with you on your journey.
For others, their monsters may be things/places
…these things are what you truly have control over at every moment. Whether your monster in this sense is a habit that is hard to break, a place that you need to grow apart from, or a space that is no longer serving you as it should- you have got to pay attention and do whatever it takes to chase away this monster.
Even still another type of monster can be your emotions. You are most definitely entitled to your emotions and no one can take them away from you or force you to feel differently. The most important thing with this type of monster is to not allow it to take over your life. Emotions change according to environment and many other things around you. No matter how much this monster tries to chase and/or tackle you, you have got to keep pushing forward.
2 Peter 1:5-9
“For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins.” No matter what you face, there is a way to cover it in love and prosperity. Chasing away your monsters does something that is so important and that is: give you more space to grow, be happy, and be at peace.
Clutter of your monsters must be cleaned up so that you can welcome what is going to bless your lives. The Universe brings forth more of what you put into it; if you are welcoming and/or allowing the negative to stay you are hurting yourself, all around you, and your chance for opportunities.
Proverbs 12:16
“Fools shows their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.” If your monsters hurt you, you have to do what works best for you and get rid of them. This doesn’t mean that you fight fire with fire; you will receive a blessing unlike any other if you are kind (with your strength and voice intact).
As you know, and I have said several times before, nothing is life is easy and it shouldn’t be. Think about how much stronger you would be if you chased away your monsters. Think about the power and the fire inside of you that will only grow when that place, space, or thing no longer belongs in your are gone.
Don’t you deserve a beautiful smile on your face and to live in happiness and peace?
Don’t you deserve success in life?
Don’t you deserve all that you imagine and beyond?
…Of course you do!
Take the time to learn about your monsters and do what it takes to chase them completely out of the scene. You deserve that!
Be blessed and be at peace.

***Health Spotlight*** Chikungunya- a mosquito transmitted virus
Symptoms: fever, headache, rash, swelling, and joint pain
Treatment: unfortunately, there is no vaccine to prevent or treat the infection; most feel better after a week, so drink fluids take Tylenol and get some rest.
Prevention: use mosquito netting, wear long sleeves, and use repellent
Prevalence: a global impact; last year there were about 150 reported cases of chikungunya in the U.S. (CDC), but thousands more affected across the world
– Chasing away monsters with this disease means so much more than taking care of yourself; it means plugging into your family, community, and the world. There is so much that we can do in our own communities; it takes a village and our impact can be great if only we use what we have to make a change. Think about how blessed you are and never forget how underserved so many others are; do your part, let’s change the world for the better by chasing away the monsters that so many people face.
Overcoming the Storms in Your Life
What if you had the chance to step away from the depths of your despair?
What if you could overcome your darkest hour?
What if you could eliminate the very thing that plagues you?
What if God showed you that it could be done?…Would you do it?
Often we find ourselves questioning “What if?”
Our lives and our blessing are not built on what ifs and what abouts
We are not meant to live lives that are impacted and defiled by evil people and negative thoughts.
We are meant to lead blessed and abundantly lives that in-turn bless other people.
Ephesians 4:18 “They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart.”
Why would you block your own blessings by consistently living in fear, pain, confusion and mediocrity?
Why you keep thinking that you already know the answer to your issue, when you have living a cycle of sadness, anger, and doubt?
You keep praying asking God to give you a sign and yet when that very sign is completely bright in neon lights flashing right in front of your face you ignore it.
Although the storms in your life may bring the thunder and rain, know that you will overcome them because you’ve already proven that you can.
2Timothy 2:23-24
Remember when you allowed someone to dim your light?
Remember when you let your significant other tell you that your dreams were too big?
Remember when you got that degree and how you kept getting denied a job?
Remember when that person showed you who they were and you made excuses for them?
Remember when you lost every material thing that you owned?
Remember when you lost that person that you loved so dearly, to death?
Remember when you spent your last dime so that your child could eat?
Everything that has plagued you have risen above it!
God has blessed you over and over again!
Do you see the signs now?
Do you see how your circumstances or a situation clouded everything?
God helps you through every situation. Why are you denying that you can break away from the very thing that is hurting you?

Overcoming storms in health means that you will have to fight and never give up. Everyone faces different struggles in their lives, but the key in healthcare is to not give up. If you don’t know the answer to something, ask until you get the answer. You can overcome anything put on your path, do what you can to help everyone around you. Health care can be difficult to access, so do what you can to help others get the help that they need.

What have you experienced in your life that has helped you begin to shape your future?
-The answers to these questions are what can eliminate those moments of self-doubt

The problem that we all face is that we fail to take inventory of what we have to bring to the table.

Dracunculiasis- The guinea worm is a large parasite that affects human and can cause dracunculiasis by migrating through body and eventually emerging. Symptoms include joint pain, swelling, fever, a burning sensation, muscle pain, ulcers, nausea and vomiting (WHO). Relief can be found via emerging the area in water, which also causes a release of larvae into the water; drinking from this water begins a new cycle of infection in whoever consume the water. The infected person can remain ill for months. There is no drug to prevention or heal the disease, but it is rarely fatal. Treatment include cleansing wound, gentle extraction over time, and topical antibiotics. This disease is common in areas of Africa. Prevention includes case containment, safe drinking water, health education, and vector control (CDC). Always pay attention to how you treat your body, seek help when needed, and remember that it is better to be educated and prepared than to have to treat.
