Overcoming Relationships of Every Sort

©KayLaN.Allen

Throughout life, we meet and get to know people on many different levels.

The passing of time, change in vision of life, different goals, broken hearts, etc. can all be reasons that these relationship must come to an end.

Making the decision to overcome a relationship can be one of the most difficult things to do. However, this very decision can be one of the best things that you can do for yourself, your family, or your career.

Let’s look a little deeper at intimate relationships, friendships, and career relationships.

Intimate Relationships
When dating (typically at the beginning), many people experience feelings of joy, excitement, butterflies, love, lust, etc., but we must remember that those things don’t always last nor do they have to.

Of course, you should work hard in your relationships and love the one you are with, but if things have gone sour and either of you are experiencing dysfunction or unhealthy behaviors it may be beyond time to cut ties.

You know what you deserve in a relationship and what you need; if your significant other is unwilling to work on those things, don’t you think that maybe you need to rethink the relationship?

Don’t you think that maybe you should be with someone who is willing to put in the effort and build a strong, faithful, and loving relationship with you?

Let me say this: you do not have to stay with someone who cheats on you or mistreats you. You need to get your head on straight and think through your relationship and make the decision to overcome any negativity within it; if that means you need to leave, so be it.

Keep this at the forefront of your mind: staying in a relationship just for the kids will hurt you, your significant other, those God meant for you, and your children (as they will mimic and be susceptible to what you have shown them/allowed them to be a part of). Do the right thing.

Friendship
At various stages of our lives we meet people that we may find a connection with, someone that likes the same things, or someone that we simply have things in common with and they become friends that we hold close to our hearts.

We do things together, talk regularly, and even buy each other gifts. Those relationships are not always meant to travel with you for life, in fact it can be more unhealthy than anything to allow people that do not have the same goals, those without an aim for growth, or someone without the same beliefs as you.

Proverbs 18:24
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” A friend is a blessing, but sometimes you have to let them go so that you can grow and find your happiness. One of the greatest friends and the most dependable friend can be found in God.

Friendship is a beautiful thing, but sometimes those relationships are only for a season; you learn the lesson then it’s time to move forward. You must be willing to see through the memories, time spent, etc. and realize that growth and change are mandatory in life…even when it comes to friends. Overcome that relationship by realizing the value in it and remembering that your journey through life and your success do not require everyone that you encounter and/or befriend.

Career Relationships
A brand new job comes up and we get excited about it look forward to everything that we will do, etc. Over time, you may get bored, want more money, gain a degree, or get tired of the commute, etc. and that is perfectly fine.  There are many people that stick to one job or one career for their entire life and that is okay, but that does not have to be the case.

If you are feeling stuck or unfulfilled and there is no room for growth, perhaps you need to overcome that career relationship.  You need a challenge, you need to feel that you are making a difference and that you are being appreciated; if that is not how you feel you need to be appreciative of what you have learned and the opportunity and redirect your life.

Ecclesiastes 3: 1 & 5
“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven…A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing.” Knowing the value of any relationship (family included) is important, but it is equally important to recognize if someone/something is causing you to feel truly unhappy. If there is no way to mend it or the person is intentionally causing you emotional pain, you need to overcome that relationship.

It can hurt to leave people behind, but wouldn’t you rather forgive, try to mend, and overcome if it is necessary. You deserve to be happy within yourself; few things/people can give you that except God, looking into your soul, acknowledging what the Universe is blessing you with, and you.

Be blessed and be at peace.

There have been over 100 measles cases and 8 outbreaks of the measles in the U.S. this year(CDC). The majority of people with measles contract it because they are not vaccinated. Physical symptoms may appear in about 10-14 days after exposure, but people are contagious after 4 days with the virus. Fever is the early symptom of the measles, they can reach up to 105 F; this is accompanied by malaise, cough, and conjunctivitis. The rash spreads from the head-down (CDC). High risk people are infants, adults over 20, pregnant women, and those with compromised immune systems. Airborne spread and droplets are the methods of transmission; it can remain in the air for two hours. There is no antiviral treatment, but medical care is necessary; hospitalization is hospital. As always, if you suspect an illness seek medical attention.

What Does It Mean To Overcome?

©KayLaN.Allen

You climb your mountain and miss a step, but catch yourself.
You drive your car in the rain and slide a bit, but you get back on track immediately.
You face your scars and remember that you are a beautiful product of your life experiences.

Overcoming means to:
Move beyond, gain control, or defeat something. This definition can be different for each person and in every situation. The key is to understand what it means to you.

A person can talk to you for hours about overcoming and not truly understand what it means to you.

The real definition is inside of yourself.

Maybe overcoming means taking back your power.
Maybe overcoming means getting out of a bad relationship for yourself and your family.
Maybe overcoming means that you learn to clearly see how the universe is working in your favor.
Maybe overcoming means that you step out of your comfort zone and into the realm that you are supposed to be in.
Maybe overcoming means getting control of the chaos in your life.
-Whatever it means to you, it is up to you to look deeper into what it would mean to make that change, overcome that battle, or climb that new hill.

Understanding what it means to overcome is how you can prepare to do it.

You find meaning and value in life and your journey by taking the time to truly look inside of yourself and allow change and evolution to occur.

Challenge yourself to take a moment and write down what is truly bothering you. This is the beginning of facing what is bringing problems to your life.

Job 8:7
“…Though your beginning was small, your latter will be great.” You may not be where you dream of being, but it is surely coming- it has been promised to you. The universe is in full-creation mode and is bringing opportunities your way that you did not know existed. God has a blessing and vision for your life.

Proverbs 2:12-15
Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, who have left the straight paths to walk in dark ways, who delight in doing wrong and rejoice in the perverseness of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.”  Taking the time to do the work, writing it all down, facing the problem and understanding what it means to overcome your storm is the first step in developing a new area of wisdom.  This wisdom could be the key to your success or in finding true happiness within yourself. What would it mean to defeat the storm in your life?

Are you able to open the doors of promise and opportunity now? Do you still have some preparation to do? If you aren’t ready, that is okay for now…but you need to get ready. You need to stop just dealing with it and start preparing to change.

Now that you understand the basic meaning of overcoming, you are ready to learn to make it happen. Buckle up, it may be a bumpy ride.

Be blessed and be at peace.

Chickenpox can cause extreme problems for people of all ages.  The virus that it is linked to it, VZV, can spread via touching, breathing in particles, and possibly through droplets. Getting the vaccine is the best protection; you can still get chickenpox but the severity will be decreased, you will have fewer blisters and less of a fever. It is essential that you do your part to take care of yourself and your family. Calamine and colloidal oatmeal baths are a go-to to relieve itching, and acetaminophen over-the-counter may help reduce fever as well. Although there has been a decline in the number of people with a VZV virus over the past two decades, it is still affecting over 3 million people a year according to the CDC. Seek the care of a physician or any medical provider; there is affordable care available.

Z-Zest

If you combine your passion, your appetite for success, spirit, and fire inside of you and that is your zest.

What puts that light in your eyes? What fuels your flame? What drives your energy? What makes your heart happy? What seemingly makes your forget/overcome your struggles in you life?

Be Zesty (“lively and pleasing”).

Let’s say that there are 1000 other people going for the same job that you are going for…would you walk into your interview knowing that you are just another applicant? No, don’t do that. Sparkle, glisten, and show your passion because that will make you stand out.

God gave you gifts and talents; He gave you something that no one else has. He gave you a zest for what you are passionate about. Dark days and those who are against you do not matter.

Be active and energetic every day, no matter what happens and you’ll realize that you have so much to be thankful for. For those who choose to sit in sorrow, they will feel that everything is going wrong and nothing will ever change. If you encounter that person, let them know that two things that are guaranteed are the passing of time and change.

As much as we would like to control every part of our days, it is not always that easy. We do have the option to be full of zest and we do have the option to change the outcome of our days.

If you are feeling sad or discouraged, know that your zest in life is still connected to your heart and mind. The universe is constantly at work for you; be happy in every moment, as best as you possibly can- it is worth it. God knows and sees your dreams and He is shaping your path, be full of zest and be prepared for all of the good that is coming your way.

You see, as we challenge what seems likely to break us down we reveal zest for whatever our heart desires. If you are feeling stuck in a box because of your finances and you want to make a change, but that change requires finances, you need to change your thinking and take every step with a breath of zest.

There is not always going to be a door open for you, sometimes you have to build your own door and push it open.

A painting of clouds could seem dreary and boring, but if you add flowers, sunshine, and children playing you reveal happiness and zest…the same can be applied to your life.

Be enthusiastic and full of zest in all that you do and dream of. Your drive, compassion, vigor, and light inside of you are all that you need to succeed.

Mark 9:50
Salt is a good thing; but if it has lost its zest, how can it be seasoned again? You should have salt within yourselves and peace with one another.” Be fervent in your beliefs, never lose sight of your dreams, and be filled with a zest for life. Work diligently to find peace within yourself and gain a high-spirit in life. Seek peace with others, one moment in anger is a moment that could be spent in resolution, clarity, and happiness; fix it, for you and those you love.

Romans 5:5
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” You must allow yourself to be filled with hope and joy in order to ready to receive all that has been promised to you by God. The universe reacts to what you are putting out in feeling and thought, so you need to live as though you have already manifested what you want in your life.

Have a complete zest for life and you will change the way that the see the world, and the way that things turn out.

Zoonotic Diseases: These infections link humans and animals. Although people come in close contact with their pets on a regular basis, there are germs/bacteria that can be carried by animals. Approximately 6 out of 10 infectious diseases are spread via animals. Thousands of people, annually, will get sick because of germs spread between humans and animals (CDC). Germs can be spread from direct contact, indirect contact, via an insect, or from contaminated food. Children under 5, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk of a zoonotic disease. Prevention tips include: proper hand washing, staying safe around pets, prevent mosquito, tick and flea bites, safe food handling, and avoiding scratches or bites from animals. Depending on the type of disease, the incubation period can vary from hours to weeks and the symptoms vary, as well. Use your medical support system, they care and so do I.

Y-Yearn

Struggles and storms mean next to nothing if your heart and mind yearn for nothing better and nothing more.

You yearn for what you want and what you deserve; that is directly connected to all you are.

If something shakes your drive or your climb to reach your goal, then maybe you push isn’t strong enough, you need to change some aspect, or you need to rehabilitate your mind.

Sure, we all have our struggles; even those who seem like they have it all may have had to claw their way up to the level that they have reached. Even celebrities experience difficulties in their lives; no one is perfect.

To yearn is go beyond a want or desire, it is essentially craving something with extreme determination; it is knowing and feeling that nothing can block you from reaching a goal/dream.

If you are a person that is walking around hoping and wishing, you aren’t doing enough. Cut the talk and start the walk.

If you have any dream of becoming successful, you have to yearn for it so much that every step up the ladder becomes a part of every fiber of your being.

You need to wake up with positive thoughts, envisioning yourself and every detail of your goals. You need to take steps every day and make a fervent effort to be prosperous in all that you do. Go to sleep thankful for all that you have accomplished, all that you want for your life, and the blessings all around you.

You need to feel that happiness. You need to be willing to fight for it. You have to taste it with every breath that you take.

What is the part of your vision of success that makes you want it so badly? Is it the abundance in life? Is it the ability to change the world? Is it the joy that takes over you when you learn more and more about it? Take all of those thoughts and feelings and embed them into your heart- that is yearning.

There will be those who don’t believe in you, lie about you, shut doors in your face, and try to speak evil into your life…but they can’t affect you unless you let them.

Whatever you dream to be or dream to have, do it to the best of your ability. If you want to be a stylist, a doctor, a singer/songwriter, an artist, a fashion designer, a plumber, an electrician, an astronaut…whatever, it does not matter and it will not happen if you are not putting in an effort and you do not yearn to have what you dream come into your reality.

Whatever you yearn and strive for, you can have. What are you waiting for?

Need some motivation? Here you go. For every moment that you are wasting, someone else is building and shaping their future; use your time wisely. The longer you wait, the longer someone else has to wait for your blessing to reach them. Be hopeful.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Be prayerful and also know that the Universe and God have favor on your life. When you are able to be in-tune with your subconscious you can make things that seem like miracles occur via frequent thoughts, visions, and meditation. The hope that lives inside of you is not in vain, if you are craving your goals.

Ephesians 1:18

Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints.”

God has given you all that you could ever want, it is living inside of you…make the most of all that you have been blessed with. You have been put together like a unique puzzle of amazing and perfect pieces; your puzzle pieces are your gifts and talents which make a beautiful picture and bring forth magnificent blessings.

I dream of a world where we all reach our goals, surpass them and live in peace, great health and prosperity. I believe in you, I’ll always encourage you to do great things, and I care about your success; surround yourself with people who feel the same way.

Yersiniosis- This is a type of infection that is linked to consumption of raw/uncooked pork that is contaminated with Yersinia enterocolitica bacteria. This is an infection that affects over 100,000 people in the U.S. annually (CDC). Symptoms appear between 4-7 days after exposure to the bacteria, and they can be similar to that of appendicitis. Prevention: cook pork and all foods to an appropriate temperature, practice proper hand washing, and use separate cutting boards. Special testing is needed for diagnosing, and it typically goes away on its own or with antibiotics if someone has a severe infection (CDC).  As always, if something doesn’t feel right, seek medical attention. Take good care of yourself and your family.

Be blessed and be at peace.

X- Xenodochial

©KayLaN.Allen

Where is your heart and love for your fellow man? Do you know that with one word or one smile you can insight growth/change?

Xenodochial, not a common word for the every day vocabulary simply means being friendly to strangers.

How many times have you been wrapped up in your own little world and walked right past someone who may have been smiling at you or may have said something kind to you?  I know that I have a few times, and it can make the giver/receiver feel horrible inside.

How many times have you said “Good morning”, given a compliment or said “Have a nice day” to someone with no response given back? I bet it’s more than a few times.

First off, don’t automatically expect someone to be kind to you; if you do, you will set yourself up for disappointment.

What I want you to do is realize your place in this world, all of your experiences, and all that you have to offer. You need to be concerned with your behavior, even to strangers.

You may be that person whose smile will save a life. You may be that person that is very kind to someone on the elevator and a few minutes later find out that very person is the CEO of the company you are being interviewed at. You may be that person lightens up someone’s day every time you go to the store, salon, etc. just because you bring your radiated light and kindness in with you. You may be the person that a little girl/boy thinks they look like and they admire you. All of these things and more could be inside of you.

Be xenodochial, it is very easy.

Even if someone is not so kind to you, you can pay them back with a friendly word or kind gesture. God sees all that you do and all that is inside of your heart. Your friendliness can be the blessing that someone needs, you never know.

Now, do not go around thinking that you are the king/queen of the world and all must bow down to you and treat you like royalty.

Do not allow someone to intentionally treat you poorly, either.

You have power, love, light, beauty, kindness, and joy inside of you why shouldn’t you share it with the world?

Think about it like this, for every year of your life you have learned at least one thing. From these lessons, trials, storms, and moments of happiness you have evolved.

Be mindful that some stranger, somewhere in the world needs you. They may need you to learn how to grow, evolve, become educated, leave an unhealthy relationship, prepare for the working world, become more spiritual, become in-tune with themselves/God/Universe.

You learn for a reason. If you are learning and you have something to offer the world, do it.

Being kind to a stranger is a great place to start spreading joy and light.

There are days when you may feel full of sadness, anger, confusion, etc. but know that still you must stand strong and keep your faith…someone needs you.

1 Peter 3:8-9

“…you must all have the same attitude and the same feelings; love one another, and be kind and humble with one another. Do not pay back evil with evil or cursing with cursing; instead, pay back with a blessing, because a blessing is what God promised to give you when he called you.”
—-Do not take it personally if someone is unkind to you, just do your part and be friendly to everyone around you. God has embedded you with love…give it back to the world. The Universe holds love as the foundation of all things, it is your job to build from it a life and world of love and blessings.

1 John 4:6-8

We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. That is how we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception. Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.…”
—-You were not put on this Earth to do things solely for yourself. You are a being of love and created by love. It is your job to spread love. What is one the most beautiful and pure ways to love? Friendship. Friendship starts by being friendly, caring for someone, and offering light. You start off as strangers to one another and through heart-to-heart connection you bless the world and generate love.

Be xenodochial (friendly to strangers), not just with your words but with all of your actions. You never know, there may be someone who needs you in one moment or that very person could be an angel.

Take advantage of every moment and do good things.

Be blessed and be at peace.

XDR TB (Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis)- According to the CDC, this is a rare form of TB that is caused by an organism that is resistant to the two most potent TB drugs. This type of TB is spread just as Drug-susceptible TB is spread; bacteria is spread via the air when a person coughs, sneezes, shouts, or sings. A person who is not properly taking their TB medication can also develop XDR TB (WHO). The bacteria can remain in the air for hours and when someone inhales the TB bacteria-infected air they can become infected. Those who are immuno-compromised are at a higher risk of infection than those who are healthy. Education and medical support are important in prevention of this disease. Practice good hygiene. As always, if you feel like something is wrong with your body seek the care of a physician. Practice good hygiene

W-Worthy

©KayLaN.Allen

No matter what obstacles you face in your life, you are worthy of the great things that you want for yourself.

What does it mean to be worthy? How do you know if you are worthy?

Worthiness inside of you means that you are deserving, it is as simple as that. You know that you are worthy of all that life, God, and the Universe have to offer you if you are leading a kind, compassionate, thriving, humble, determined, prosperous, and goal-driven life.

Every one of us has a story to tell, a testimony to share and spread, and some element of pain attached to a part of us; it is all about what we do with those lessons and moments that will show us that we are living in our purpose and we are worthy to be great.

I always mention living in your purpose, and it is important to do so no matter what is happening in your life.

If you are sad in a moment or angry at someone, guess what? You need to think about it in the moment and then let it go. Remember that you are worthy of happiness and pure joy. You are not perfect and you may have some growing to do, but you are still worthy.

Worthiness is not something that can be shoved into your mind, though. You must be in tune with yourself and be able to look in the mirror at more than the image being reflected back to you.

Show and remind yourself that you are worthy by taking care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Even if you aren’t going anywhere for the day, even if your kids are driving you crazy, even if your job is draining you…get yourself together physically; get healthy, cut out your bad habits that are damaging your body and your life. You deserve to look well-groomed, polished and like the worthy being that you are.

Even if the storms in your life are turning into what seem to be disasters, be prayerful and meditate. If you are not taking care of your thoughts and what you put out into the Universe, how can you expect to live out your biggest dreams or achieve your highest goals. You deserve and are worthy of a healthy mental state. Do what is best for you.

Even if you are feeling depressed, anxious, broken, or lost remember that worthiness and happiness are embedded inside of you. You are an amazing and blessed being that is unlike any other and you have so much to offer the world. You are worthy of love, kindness, compassion, and so much more.

Even if you don’t go to church, if your faith is shaken, or if you have lost hope in the Universe know that your spirit is still intact and you are worthy of strength in your faith. You have everything that you need to be spiritually strong within you, but you must tap into it and be consistent.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” God knew that you were worthy before you were even created, don’t block yourself from all that He has promised.
The Universe is aware of your needs and wishes, don’t be blind to all that it is working out for you and all that it has to offer you.

Ephesians 2:10

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Greatness is what you are made of and from, so doesn’t that mean that you are directly destined for and worthy of greatness? You were made of all that is love from He and what is love, therefore you are worthy of love and all that is made for you.

Blessings are flowing all around you and you are worthy of each one. Stop letting things (or people) block you from receiving what you are worthy of. Make the changes that are necessary for you to grow and become all that you are worthy of.

Do you think are worthy now? The answer should be and needs to be YES!!!

V-View

©KayLaN.Allen

Our sight gives us a sense of understanding, but what if we are missing the bigger picture because of what we perceive to be true?

There is true beauty in the world, just as there is evil and ugliness. Often we tie our past to our current lives and circumstances because of fear, similarities, confusion and brokenness.
We can’t allow what seems to be real to become real, if it is not for our good.

Perception vs. A Clearer View- What You (think you) See vs. What You Could See
“I hate being single and I need to have someone in my life so that I can feel good and look happy like everyone else.” Vs. “I would like to have someone to share my life with, but I know that I need to work on myself and reconnect with who I am… who cares about what others think.”
“I wish that I was rich so that I would could buy whatever I want and not have to worry about anything.” Vs. “I want to live a prosperous and abundant life, so I am going to work hard to get where I want to be and I will live without fear of mediocrity or failure.”
“Everyone that comes into my life is toxic and I can’t take it anymore.” Vs. “I need to take inventory on my life, eliminate negativity and change my circle of friends for my personal growth.”
These are just a few examples of what you may perceive vs what you could actually see.
It is important that you take the time to not only fight back in your toughest storms, but actually figure out what they mean in the bigger picture. There is a lesson in all things.

Many things that we are faced with make us question our reality, but it is up to us to create changes and shifts in our lives.

If you see that things are not the way you need them to be change your view, shift your reality, or change your scenery.

If you have been making excuses for someone else’s behavior, snap out of it and change your view. Provide yourself with what you deserve.

Instead of seeing evil and ugliness in the world, change your view and see opportunity for change and be the person to create beauty in your circle; by changing your immediate view you instantly change the world. Don’t hold on to pain and disappointment.

Proverbs 15:3
“The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” Let God and the universe help you, heal you, and guide you; don’t take on more than you can bear. The Lord sees all things and knows your pain, keep your eyes on Him.

Instead of complaining about what is going on in your life, why don’t you try looking it with a different pair of eyes…from a different point of view?

Ecclesiastes 2:14
“The wise person has his eyes in his head, but the fool walks in darkness.” Be wise in your judgment and thinking, don’t become subject to negativity of the mind because you are walking around with your blinders on. Pay attention and act accordingly.

Life is not perfect, but you have the power and the ability to change your surroundings and your view on life.

Stop thinking that it is your job to seek revenge, pay back evil with evil, fix everybody’s issues, and dwell in everything that is negative.

It’s time to use a new set of eyes and pay attention to what is in view….not just a perception.

God and the universe offer you limitless opportunities to view newer heights, achieve greater things, and bless those around you. If you are choosing to be blind, you will miss out.

Vaccinations and regular doctor visits are important in more ways that one. We have seen what they can do and they bring hope for the future. Vaccination is a controversial topic and it likely will be for a long time, but if you choose not to vaccinate you may put yourself and or your family in danger. Take the time to do real research on vaccines and learn how to protect your family. It may mean life or death. This is also men’s health week, so I encourage you to encourage the men in your life to take care of themselves and see a physician regularly. It is our job to care for ourselves and those we love. Are you doing your part?

Be blessed and be at peace.

Uproot- to remove or pull up by the roots

I often tell people that they need to get unstuck from their situation and to not become “stuck on stupid”…let’s address what they means and how you can do it, as well.

Often we see ourselves or people we love get “stuck” in a relationship, “stuck” at a job we may not like, “stuck” living in a place that is not ideal, etc. What I want you to ask yourself is are you/they really stuck? The answer is no.

Everyday we make a choice to do things, stay in a relationship, stay at a job, keep living in a certain place, etc. It is your decision to be in the situation that you are in. You have the opportunity to get out of your “dry place”.

UPROOT YOURSELF!
No one will walk around carrying a basket of happiness, promises, and money…you must chose to get out, remove yourself, better yourself and make a change. No it will not be easy.

If you have ever been abused in any form, you know that it can seem impossible to leave, but it can be done. Talk to someone who can understand and will not judge you. Gain your strength and uproot your heart from one of the highest levels of mental and physical toxicity. Uproot your mind from pain, torture, destruction, confusion, and misery; you deserve better than what you are facing every day and you know it.

If you have ever stayed at a job just because you need a paycheck and to pay your bills, you know how miserable every day can be. Use your “extra” time or make “extra” time and re-shape your life to build a life and career that you love and are proud of. No, it will not happen overnight. No, there will not always be someone that can help you financially, watch your kids, or calm you down when those night/weekend/3 week courses seem to make you feel overwhelmed…but it can be done. If you know that you deserve more out of a job (like, a career that you love), then do what it takes to make it happen. God and the universe will make a way if only you put in the effort and speak out loud that you need help; express what you want, what you need, and what you are doing to make it happen. Live in that feeling of completion and gained success; if you feel it, envision it, and belief it…so it will be. Uproot yourself from that job that is subjecting you to discrimination, low pay, no opportunities to advance, etc. If you want success, go get it!

If you find yourself still living in the same place/area that you came from and you are happy about that, that is okay only if it is an area that you have found success, abundance and prosperity in (for yourself). If it is not all that you have ever wanted, then what are you doing to yourself and your family? Are you really proud of yourself for not rising up and evolving? You need to give yourself a reality check, if you are. You are blessed beyond measure and have new opportunities granted to you every morning. If you are satisfied with mediocrity and not evolving then you are denying your chance at success, an abundant life, and happiness in seeing yourself reach all of your goals. Shake those small thoughts off and start thinking bigger.

If you are someone who is confused or you think that you may need to be uprooted, please know that someone who really cares about you will tell you the truth even when you do not want to hear it. I would much rather serve you a freezing bowl of the cold hard truth that watch you cry buckets of tears or live in years of disappointment or misery.

Proverbs 4: 23
“Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.”
If you think that you have reached as high as you can in your life, you will receive nothing more. If you change your thinking and uproot yourself from what confines/binds you, you will attain more.

The thoughts and words that you think or say are put out into the universe…so be careful.

God did not promise you a life of pain. Here’s a few things that He did promise:
Nothing will separate you from God’s love. Psalms 8:38-39
He made you intentionally and knows you intimately. Psalms 139-13-14
He has plans of prosperity and hope attached to your life. Jeremiah 29:11
You are favored. Psalms 5:12
You can do ALL things. Philipians 4:13

Come out of your dry place… stand on God’s promises and all that the universe can provide to you by uprooting your mind from it’s current state.

Be blessed and be at peace.

S- Senses

*Proverbs 2:2*

If you have ever sat back and questioned the voices in your head, you have sensed a higher purpose.

If you have ever longed for something different, you have sensed the need for evolution/transformation.
If you have ever looked in the mirror and did not like what you perceived as a flaw, you have sensed the need to live a healthy life.
If you have ever cried in the middle of the night or lost needed sleep, you have sensed the need to change or to find answers to unanswered questions.
If you have ever felt unfulfilled, you have sensed the need for a new path or a change in scenery.
If you have ever felt that something just wasn’t right…it is time to stop ignoring your good sense and senses to changes, and appreciate what your subconscious/God/the universe is speaking to you.

If you can acknowledge your senses, then you can acknowledge what you need to do for your personal growth, career, and your family.

It is time to use what you see, hear, feel, think, and know to gathered what is called common sense and become a better you.

Remember this: Common sense is not so common, if it was everyone would have it.

1 Corinthians 15:33

“Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.””
Be mindful of the company that you keep, as they can help you ignore that which your soul, spirit, and mind are trying to tell/teach you. If you know that someone around you is hurting you, distracting you, blocking you from reaching your potential…cut the weeds! Have enough sense to know who is good for you and who is wreaking havoc on your life.

Stop THINKing that you know everything.
Stop thinking that things will get better on their own.
Don’t be blinded by what the world, your peers, your colleagues or what your family is feeding you.

Stop FEELing that what “he” or “she” has or is doing is for you or not for you.

What you see can make or break you; be wise enough to feel what your heart and mind are telling you, and know the difference. If you feel that you can make a change or get to the next level, don’t just imagine and daydream about it- be about it!

Stop SEEing others rise in success and stop sitting back and complaining about how you wish it was you. Stop seeing growth in others and stop thinking negatively about it. You are making decisions in every moment to seize the day or put a new dent in your couch and whine about what you don’t have or how the world is against you.

Stop simply using your ears to HEAR and start listening to advice, words of wisdom, the universe’s messages, and what those voices in your mind are telling you.

Proverbs 28:26

Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered.”
You do not know everything. In fact, everyone and everything in your life is meant to teach you something; take off your blinders. Allow your senses to open and be receptive enough to receive information that will help you transform your life.

Do you have enough sense to stop trying and start doing? If you haven’t in the past, now is the time to make your life worth living.

Everything that want, you can have if you put in the effort and stop denying yourself greatness.

Close your eyes and count to 10. Now open them, do you feel a sense of relief or clarity. Do you see beauty and feel the heartbeat of everything around you? Do you hear every sound of quiet or noise in its entirety? Your senses can help guide your path. If simply closing your eyes can make you pay attention to you senses, imagine what would happen if you took the time to do that same thing every day. If you envisioned what you really want in the form of a vision or in meditation (regularly/daily)…you would change your world.

Tell whatever that is ailing you that it is no longer welcome, then makes some changes; don’t ignore your senses.

God hear, sees, knows, and feels all. The universe is in tune with you. If you are shaping your life and acknowledging your purpose and your senses, then your life will be a blessing to the world around you.

Nobody needs to come and pat you on your back every 5 seconds to remind you of your achievements or your successes. Pay attention to those who really support you and care about you; they have been put in your life (with no negative attachments) for a reason. Do not become blind to your blessings.

Remember: your senses are there to make you aware and appreciative of what you are given/blessed with. Be in tune with yourself, but do not become “stuck on stupid”.

“Always let your conscience be your guide.” Jiminy Cricket
You may not always make the best decisions, but as long as you are trying and being the best and kindest person that you can be, you are on the right track.

If your body is giving you signs or making you sense that something is wrong, do not ignore that. Your body will tell you if you are lacking vitamins, needing hydration, or need to address underlying issues that are invisible to the eye. If we take the time to acknowledge that our physical body is just as important as every other aspect of our lives, we can lead a healthier, longer life. Don’t make excuses, go to the doctor. It is better/easier to be prepared and practice prevention methods than it is to treat illnesses. Take care of yourself. Many people love you and need you, including me.

Be blessed and be at peace.

R-Radiate

© KayLaN.Allen

Many children sang this song and as adults we’ve forgotten what it means…try it now:

“This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…” What does it mean?
It’s time to turn your brightness up to the max and radiate in all of your light.

Look up to sky as the sun rises… what do you see? You see light, now say: “That light is in me.” You’ve not told yourself a lie,
but a blessed truth.

There are times when you go through rough patches, but it’s ok… still you must shine on.

Allow yourself to radiate in the midst of darkness/storms and watch how you can cause a mental shift for yourself and those around you.

Don’t sit and complain if your day isn’t going your way. Get up and make a change. Your light inside is glowing and beautiful; let it radiate so that the world can be blessed.

If you feel as though the world is passing you by and you can’t see your light radiating, it may be time to lace up your running shoes, go outside and get a change of scenery. There are times when we get that feeling that no one can see what we have to offer or no matter what our best isn’t good enough… but that’s not true. Think about it like this: wouldn’t it be better to have a light as small as that of a firefly that to live in a world of darkness.

Even if your light does not radiate immediately, your growth and your life molding will brighten that light over time.

Isaiah 58:8-12

“Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your
healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you, and the
glory of the Lord will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry
for help, and he will say: Here am I.
If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the
pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves in behalf of
the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in
the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.
The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs
in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.

You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring
whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will
raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer
of Streets with Dwellings.”

Your light is valuable. What you have to offer is valuable…. let it shine, beam and radiate. There will come a time when your light will be more than just a representation of who you are. You will be able to stand strong and use that radiating light to make a difference.

Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Even if you are not a believer in God, you must learn and know that when you radiate you create a shift in the world. Allow yourself to radiate from the center of your universe, your chakras, your mind, your heart, however you see it.

Your gifts and talents are not too small or unimportant.

Your ideas are not too big or far-fetched.

When people turn against you, let your light radiate.

When you feel down, let your light radiate.
When people around you are blossoming and growing, don’t hate…applaud, then let your light radiate.
When people misjudge you or make you feel small, let your light radiate.

If your light is dim, fuel the fire. If you think your light isn’t working, change the bulb. Train your mind and re-shape your world. Radiate.

Say it out loud: My light is unlike anyone else’s and my gifts make the world a better place.

Life is short. Stand strong in who you are. Be the best you that you can be, as every moment counts. Let your light shine, ‘lest you aim to stand in someone else’s shadow for your entire life.
