Erase Self-Doubt

It takes a tremendous amount of effort to accomplish what you set out to do.

Presenting to yourself the ability to make a task, goal, or objective a part of your story of triumph is magnificent.

Although we often have dreams of what we want to do, we may face self-doubt. It is only when we can “erase” self-doubt that we find our true potential.

When doubts may arise, there are several things that you need to do:

1. Take a moment to sit with the doubt

2. Process all of your feelings in that given time

3. Think about, analyze, and acknowledge where the doubts came from

4. Work through the source of the doubt by addressing it effectively

5. Seek assistance to address the core of your doubts and how you will move forward

6. Let go and “erase” the doubt

One thing that you must always remember is that you are a limitless being with the potential to have absolutely anything that you want and work hard for. There are times that people put limits on themselves unnecessarily, but it can be avoided with a shift in their mindset.

How about an example? Have you ever found yourself in a situation in which you are leveling up, and you are surrounded by individuals who are more experienced and in that moment, you were feeling elements of imposter syndrome. Did you not work hard to get where you are? Did you not use your unique identity, gifts, and talents to be in the room, at the table, or in conversation with these individuals? So, how was imposter syndrome and self-doubt allowed to be present in the scenario?

I can say that I have faced moments of self-doubt in places of my transformation and evolution. However, I found my future self, beyond the doubts, by honing into my greatness and moving beyond what I was facing with the right tools in my toolbox.

No matter where you are in life, you have a responsibility and will face accountability for the future that you create. So, what will you do with the power, strength, amazing identity, intellect, and beauty inside of you?

Be blessed and be at peace.

Dear Mixed Girl

Do you know that it is okay to embrace what is extremely different in your life or that of your family?

When something about you is different, it may feel like it would be easier to hide it or shelter yourself to protect what is meaningful to you.

Understanding the truth of who you are, even if it did not exist in your family before you, is so important.

If you hide something from others, you may be hiding your light, joy, and potential to be something amazing in the world.

Embracing what may seem like a “stain” in your life or identity is when you know that you can feel free to fly and be all that you are.

Only others can taint and call something about you a stain because they do not know the powerful things that come together to make you who you are.

Own the beauty of your differences, dear mixed girl, because you are so special in every way.

Love yourself for who you are and what makes you different because that is what will fill your life with unmistakable joy and lead you to much prosperity.

Dear Mixed Girl

Dear Mixed Girl,

Do you understand that you were molded in a unique way and you define the future of all you are?

You are always growing and learning in all things that you do.

When you think of how you are changing, you can choose to be clay and mold yourself along the way.

If you approach your growth already formed as if you lack nothing, you will appear as though you’re a brick.

You’re worth and value are far deeper than you may know, but how you approach life and learning is important.

How you learn in your growth and journey will shape your future in every way.

As you should be, clay that can be molded can be beautiful, strong, valuable, and cherished.

Never stop challenging yourself and recall how you show up in life, as you always have a choice between being the “as-is” brick or being the valuable clay.

Imagination Is Valuable

When you want something to be a part of your future, you can relish in the fact that it began with a notion, dream, or thought.

In childhood, and in some ways as we carry on in life, imagination is one of the most valuable things that we can hold in our hearts. Since this is the case, why is that we lose touch with the will to simply deeply dream about what could be?

Imagination is a time to wonder, be hopeful, and also a place where we can make anything that we want a possibility right now, so allow your transformation, work, and your imagination to collide.

In a place where you have the opportunity to create anything that you want to happen, have, or leave behind, the opportunities are truly endless. Is that difficult to comprehend? It can be. Does that make it impossible? No.

Right now you have a chance to imagine, so what is stopping you?

-Is it believing that you cannot have what you dream of?

-Is it a transformation within you that has not occurred?

-Is it because you have not doubts in yourself or your abilities?

It can surely be a number of things within and beyond yourself, but your aim is to understand what is stopping your mission in creating possibilities, goals, and action steps to create a reality from thoughts.

At every turn you will take in personal and business transformation (which are in many ways, one in the same), you will need to evolve from the inside out. However, if you are unwilling or unable to imagine possibilities or see behind what may have been barriers presented in your past how can you create something great from what already lives and breathes inside of you?

There is something great and unique inside of you that can be tapped into with a bit of introspection, evolution, and reflection – this is a possibility in higher imagination, co-creation through healthy therapy and effective coaching, and your awareness.

How much of a value do you place of your future? How much is your legacy worth? Your dedication to your hopes and dreams starts now, so what will you do with that?

Your imagination is yours and what you will do with your future starts now.

Be blessed and be at peace.

Dear Mixed Girl

Isn’t it special to have friends and acquaintances from different and similar cultural backgrounds who love, appreciate, and understand you?

There is something so wonderful about being yourself around a small group of people and knowing that you do not have to pretend to be something other than yourself.

It is a unique feeling to be amongst people that understand your struggles, identity, and what makes you who you are.

Know that when you can be amongst others who will not judge you or make you out to be something different than whom your heart and soul present you to be.

While there may be days, months, or even years when you are trying to find your unique group of friends or acquaintances, it is essential to learn from the difficulties and bumps in the road along the way.

Learning your worth, what makes you happy, and knowing the spaces in which you can freely be yourself are all valuable to lead a life that you love.

You can paint the picture of the life that you want, including your friends, acquaintances, and the spaces you will be in, with all of the colors that make your heart happy.

Life can be big and beautiful while your tribe of people may be small, but the love and feeling of freedom that you can get when you live your life through the vision that makes you happy will show you that everything will fall into place and you will always have your joy intact.

Dear Mixed Girl

Do you understand what it means for you to be who you are in all of your uniqueness?

To be who you are now, there was a need for strength and much resilience to be present.

Challenges were faced head-on, new levels were imagined before they could become possibilities, and your parents and ancestors were dreamers before you were alive so that you could have a chance to dream.

There is a literal strength embedded into your spiritual and physical creation, so living to the height of all you can be is what you owe yourself and those who came before you.

Know who you are, understand what you can be, and never lose sight of what you are made of – be it stardust, dreams, faith, love, strength, or whatever else you envision and know to be true.

You are the strength of all things that came together to create you.

When your strength becomes a vivid reality for you, your light will be impossible to dim.

Be more than what you know yourself to be because there is an exceptional strength inside of you that will bring forth prosperity, heighten your joy, and set you apart from others and into a space in which you will thrive in all that you are both for yourself and others.

Dear Mixed Girl

How do you connect to the strength and power of those who paved the way before you?

If you walk through life and understand who you are and where you come from, you should learn and always remember that you are a living legacy in many ways.

The way you carry yourself embodies the strength of what your ancestors have overcome and who you can be.

You are something special, so be true to that and always honor your identity in what you do and how you carry yourself.

The spirit of your ancestors is present when you allow yourself to be present in your passion, good works, and how you serve others in ways that only you can.

Dear mixed girl, you can feel the spirit of the past if you listen and embrace the truth of your natural wonder, I promise.

In the moments of quiet and when you need it most, live and meditate on everything that makes you unique and wonderful.

There is greatness living and breathing inside of you; you just have you recognize its presence and tap into it so that you can find success in all that you are and can be.

Dear Mixed Girl

How do you carry out the ancestral legacy that you are while developing generational dreams to be lived through by those yet to be born?

Stories are how we tell of who and what we are. What we overcome as diverse girls and women can only be understood through our hearts, minds, souls, and the legacies we leave behind. The stories we share with the world and our loved ones are how we rise beyond the most challenging and beautiful times in life.

While some days are straightforward, others are indescribable, and it is in those days we can call on the strength of our ancestors and what makes us all that we are. Every time you learn and grow, you are equipping another part of your future and adding to your bank of wisdom. Each piece of your story of success and overcoming is a valuable addition to your legacy and the fulfillment of your ancestors’ wildest dreams.

You are magnificent, you are a legacy which so much to offer the world, and your stories of the past, present, and future are a part of what will fuel the dreams and tighten the bootstraps of future generations.

Dear Mixed Girl

Have you ever felt small or powerless around others when you knew that you were much better than that?

Sometimes we get caught in the darkness of words, doubts, fears, or beliefs that come from things that don’t live inside of us.

When that happens somehow we can lose our light and that surely isn’t fair, dear mixed girl.

As girls who are different, we have to remember that we are different and yet we still have power and purpose in this world.

There is no reason that we have to live in darkness that someone or something tries to cloud us with because we hold a light that brings forth our greatness.

The strength that we have to tap into is that in which we recall all that makes us great, beautiful, unique, wonderful, important, intelligent, and special because nothing can take any of that away.

It may be hard to remember those things when your light grows dim, but you still have the power to increase your light if you consistently try.

If you ever feel that your power is being taken away from you, reclaim your light in the darkness and own the wonder, fabulousness, and uniqueness that is you.

Dear Mixed Girl

Dear Mixed Girl,

How do you focus on your goals and keep going forward when you think the odds are stacked against you?

We, as mixed girls, can sometimes go through life being told that because we are different, there will be nothing that we can do that will be easy.

We can also be told that everything will come to us without problems.

Both of those statements have no actual validity, and it is up to you to know that if you want to reach your goals, you must stay focused and check off your list as you move forward.

No one can tell your story or dictate your life and what it is made of except you.

The challenges that you overcome, the methods in which you strive for greatness, the courage that you house inside your DNA are to be understood by you and only you.

In life, one of your greatest missions is to recall who you are at your core, no matter what you face or what goals you aim to achieve.

Bind your passion to your goals and let nothing that holds no real value break your focus because you are worth far more than that.
