Change requires effort, determination, vision, and honesty.
Change comes at a cost. We never really know how much it will be, but we can rest assured that if something caused us pain or made us feel small or unimportant, the release of it and the value of that release will outweigh whatever the cost is.
Change is necessary. So many people want the successes and like the pictures of luxury living, but don’t understand the required effort or are unwilling to sacrifice and put in the time to make it all happen.
If we take some elements of our lives in the present moment and send it into the past, shouldn’t it stay there?
If you have an “ex-hole” (you can figure out what that means), they need to stay in the past.
When a job no longer serves us, we should make it a mission to not allow it to have any part of our future.
Everything is not meant to follow you into your future.
If this concept is difficult to understand at any point, we need to take a step back and understand the “why”?
To get to a better point in life, we must take in the lessons that we learn from our past and recognize than an “ex” anything is an ex for reason.
Whatever your deep reason for putting things behind you, remember that it is invaluable and you are worth so much better.
Don’t allow past pain, “history”, love, memories, title, or circumstances to hold you back from greatness!
The universe can’t grant us what we want, envision, or having been diligently pushing for if there is something pulling you back or weighing you down.
Don’t take for granted what you have overcome and don’t limit yourself to what you past provided you with.
If something no longer serves you, let it go.
Write a letter to your past, burn it, and let it leave your mind; you deserve that freedom and peace.
Philippians 3:13-14
“Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead. I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” You have to be willing to let go of the past if you wish to even be able to give a true fight for a better future.
Isaiah 43:18
“Forget the former things: do not dwell on the past.” Completely forgetting the past may be impossible in some circumstances, but you can learn to not allow past concerns to have a place in the present. We have the power to take the reigns and overcome any difficulties that come our way.
No need for theatrics or drama…just move forward and achieve!
